As is Chavez. Wouldn't say he has the GOAT straight right, but it's definitely a very under-rated tool. Superbly timed, deadly accurate and always made a dent.

Nothing wrong with choosing Hearns. He just is more of a powerpuncher than a technician, and I am approaching this from a technical perspective first and foremost.

He was a upmost technician with it ,just because it folded people up like lawchairs doesent make it any less technical,it was setup with great timing, speed, leverage, and power, what more can you want in any punch?

No love for Schmeling? Best right hand of the hw division at least.

    Lew Jenkins for power.

The obvious answer is hearns i'd say, devastating right hand. First name i though of when i seen the thread and would be my answer.

Maybe an outside choice would be Charley Burley, on the only footage we have his straight right is fast, accurate, hard and varied. Saying that was him in with a light heavy i'd love to have seen how devastating it was down at welter

Baer, Schmeling, Johansson, Marciano, Louis and Shavers are all contenders for the greatest right hands amongst the heavyweights..

only read the second page but for technique i say louis, pure power-jackson and shavers, accuracy and timing-arguello, versaility is tough but i'll shout out walcott. basically imo it's a combination of factors but my favourite one if i have a gun to my head is louis: short, medium, long he got it home at almost any range, thrown textbook style with amazing leverage, always accurate and always set it up properly

Max Schmeling had a laser accurate right hand, along wit Joie Louis for heavyweights.
Notice both were under 200 lbs, which gave their punches quickness along with power.
For the smaller guys, Lew Jenkins[a bag of bones, but could he hit], Tommy Hearns, ala Duran, Bob Foster,etc...
