This shouldnt really be up for debate. In the Top 10 Rankings Parker is the most experienced and the more proven fighter yet to be a victim.

Usyk would be a clear favorite, but Parker clearly has a skillset and heart to make it a contest. There's also the intriguing dimension of Andy Lee and the high possibility of Parker having access to Opetaia in camp given their relationship.

    Parker should get his shot.

I get what you mean. Sometimes narratives and evaluations are made to fit the opinion one has already had before the fact.

    Ftr in my eyes
1 zhang clearly beat hrgovic who sometimes didn't even know where he was
2 parker was as close to a loss against zhang as could be and as a judge I think I would have given parker a draw at best. My criticism of the parker win is not that zhang was old then
3 wilder is definitely done and I did't want to see him fight any more high level fighters for quite a while now because he only takes up space in their schedules (and they only figh lt twice a year anyways)

For me, in the next few years, if he’s still around, it would have to be Jai and Moses.

Those are huge calls though, because both are still untested, and Jai hasn’t even moved up yet.

But stylistically, those could be the two.

    Young, hungry, energetic, fast southpaws.

Those would be tough fights for a 40 year old with nothing left to prove.

Was there ever a Courtney Cox hotter than the one in Ace Ventura? No. Was there ever a hotter Sandra Bullock than the one from Demolition Man? No. Will there ever be a hotter Usyk than the one we've seen? No. So, there is always hope, of a kind.

It's too bad it's never going to happen. It'd be a good one. But it's gotta be Parker next and then retirement. It may not even be Parker because it's clear Usyk wants a money fight again, likely Fury.

Parker is the one who deserves the shot, then Kabayel, but I give them both a Buster Douglas vs Tyson probability of beating Usyk.

    Lennox Lewis says Parker.

‘I think Joseph Parker has the best chance right now. I think they’ve been freezing Joseph Parker out. Joseph Parker needs that next fight, so get him in there.’

Usyk's feet have slowed, especially his lateral movement. He's taking 3-4 steps now, where he would have taken 1-2. He's making up for it with other aspects of his game but he will continue to show more vulnerability if he keeps going on.

Fury actually had Usyk in real trouble, nobody else has done it. Usyk himself said that Fury was the hardest, so we really should believe him.

As for Parker, he's worse than Usyk in every way except age so it's hard to see what he can do. I suppose being around the same stature might give Usyk problems compared to bigger fighters, but it's hard to see him challenging Usyk.

The Kebabyal creature looks like plodder garbage to me and worse than Parker.

I’m gonna say Itauma but I don’t think they’ll ever meet in the ring as the timing is off. Itauma is doing things at 20 that most fighters can’t and for me, he will be the next dominant force in the division.

It is unlikely anyone else will give Usyk more trouble than Fury did and for that reason Fury is as good an option as anyone else as an opponent for him in 2026.

Itauma is only 20 and his time will come. It would be just plain stupidity throwing him in with Usyk when all the belts will likely fragment soon enough and present him winnable opportunities.
