Lopez would spark Gonzalez without any of the trouble that Vasquez or Penlosa had against him.

Fighting Penelosa is a step-up fom Gonzalez, why would he want to take a step back? This fight is supposed to be priming him for the Marquez/Vasquez/Caballero/Gamboa-type fights at either 122 or 126. I personally think Gonzalez was most effective at 118, it showed against Vasquez when he ran out of gas and was prone to the more experienced Elite-performer surging back and stopping him.

The body shot from Penelosa ****ed him up too, and personally I think JuanMa, who like Gonzalez is tall for the weight so there's one advantage gone, has just as much if not more one-punch power than Vasquez, and who is fresher......there's no need for this fight, it would be a blow out.

I hope by trying to give proper reasons other than just flaming you it will be appreciated rather than 'another useless long post from Fleaman' :good

Spot on man. Gerry only has to worry about the left straight right hook combo. That is what puts opponents out for Juan Ma. Im sure Gerry has studied it and prepared. But practice aint the same thing as the real ****. If Gerry goes down I guarantee it will be with a right hook. Ponce actually was able to land a couple of right hooks against gerry but I think with his experience he will be ready. I go for Juan ma late rds KO.

Jhonny don't have the chin to last with Lopez. That fight would be like the De Leon fight all over with a little more resistance from Jhonny due to his skills. Juanma KO-TKO within 4-5 rds.

JuanMa is too strong and young for an old warrior Gerry. I would have favored a younger Gerry to win this fight.

But if somehow, Gerry found his fountain of youth for this fight, he has a chance to take this fight. Other than that, JuanMa takes this fight. That's where my bet is.

it is gerry style to throw limited but effective punches...you hardly see aggression on his style

That's the dealy right there. Lopez is going to try a walk him into a left and right hook. Gerry knows it.I feel Penalosa has worked on his speed and handspeed. He will close up quick in this fight, and test the chin or body of Juan Ma himself.we'll see.
