"His punch power is 10 out of 10, that’s it. I don’t know how else to say it. You know when you’ve been hit by him. It’s very different to anyone else. HeHes the hardest puncher I’ve ever been in the ring with.” - David Haye

" His right hand is more powerful then one could imagine,” - Luis Ortiz

"I’ve been in there with the man who I think is the biggest puncher in boxing history in Deontay Wilder. Once you’ve faced those guys, everybody else is… come on." - Eric Molina

"His punches are hard, sharp and dangerous. I had sparring sessions with many heavyweight fighters and I can say he has the hardest punch of them all." - Murat Gassiev

"Deontay Wilder is the hardest puncher I’ve ever been in with" - Jameel McCline

"There’s no comparison to Deontay’s power, even with Wladimir Klitschko – who tortured me when I first sparred him – and David Haye" - Richard Towers

“I’ve sparred with every heavyweight you could think of, except Joseph Parker. And I know when it comes to power, Deontay Wilder is in a league of his own," - Richard Towers

Rocky in my opinion was just a sadistic animal in the ring the guy was a brute just relentless pressure shots wherever they landed. Mariciano did stop higher level of opponents if we are talking about who simply hits harder i gotta go with wilder on this one, Wilders opponents lose their legs after they been hit.

Rocky was more of punisher however

I think Wilder hits harder with his biggest connections. He must generate more impact whipping them in like he does.

does it make him more dangerous? He’s a more limited fighter than a ton of other punchers who might land their blows more frequently.

Rocky "clever" in how he applied and set up shots?? Rocky missed about 12 wild haymaker right hands, 15 uppercuts, 8 hooks, and more than 20 body shots against an old 37 year old Joe Louis with diminished reflexes and no legs. And these were all punches thrown on the inside.

Probably not, can't say I've studied either but I've seen enough of Wilder. I do know Marciano has a far better resume than Wilder. That is indisputable.

Wilders mechanics with the right hand out him over Marciano and just about any boxer who ever lived

It's likely the speed of the extension at the end of the punch
