Abraham is better in both departments from what ive seen, but Pavlik does have a good chin.

Abraham definitely hits harder, for my money.

REALLY tough one...abraham has better ONE punch power when he's on but he's terribly inconsistent. pavlik has CONSISTENT, steady power and pressures fighters from beginning to end. i've only seen pavlik hurt once and by the next round, he had recovered perfectly. i've never seen abraham hurt (maybe against miranda) but he hasn't fought the same competition.

Abraham on both accounts but not by any big margin.

    Doesn't mean he'd beat Pavlik.

I agree, these are 2 attributes that favour Abraham.

This is the key, right there. Not only does Pavlik have a much higher KO%, but look who it's been against. I don't really buy the "Pavlik has accumulative" power all the way either. I'm quite sure he one punch KO'd quite a few of the dudes he fought on the level of Ayala and others.

Pavlik's "accumulation" myth has started up since he started fighting the Miranda (never been KO'd before), Taylor (never been KD'd or KO'd before) level of fighters.

AA is a beast too though.:yep

Both guys had several KD's of Miranda spread out over a couple of rounds. Based on a common opponent, I don't see evidence that either hits harder.

Based on being hit by a common opponent, Pavlik suffered less damage and he took several of Miranda's punches full force without getting his jaw broke.

Just going by the BEST AVAILABLE evidence here. :D

I mean ****, look at Ogonov....before he fought a guy even on Zuniga's current level. Couldn't hurt Zuniga, and got KTFO.

I think Kelly doesn't 'sell out' for a punch. He isn't the speediest guy so his punches are kept shorter so he can get back to a defensive position faster. Plus since every punch is thrown with the intent to hurt, he does cumulative damage by design.

this is true...before the miranda fight he was knocking mothers out left right and centre. but when he stepped up the competition his KO rate(expectedly) fell. i would still classify him more as a pressure fighter than a puncher/banger but point well taken:good

I think Abraham on both counts, but i still take Pavlik to beat him when they meet

This is one of the biggest fights in boxing that can be made now. Then the winner can fight Anthony Mundine.
