Sanders was a good puncher. But he KOd mostly bums, the only good fighter he KOd was Wladamir. Do you understand? He could not KO Glass Jaw Rahman. Basically, his "monster power" is based on KOing Wlad and rocking Vitali.

Sanders is a counter puncher with speed, power and chin yet lacks stamina. Sanders is definitely the bigger puncher.

Don't hope for Wladimir to approach Haye as he did Sanders, back then Wladimir was reckless, doesn't hold when hurt and had terrible defense. Sanders easily countered him and ended the fight.

If his power is overrated as you are trying to hint here he wouldn't have stopped Wladimir in 2 rounds or seriously trouble Vitali so I don't get what you're trying to say. He didn't stop Rahman because you're clearly judging that fight by clicking "Boxrec", Rahman survived a knockdown early and fought defensive till Sanders ran out of gas and was stopped. That's the tactic to beat Sanders, outlast him and he's running out of gas but it wasn't too easy to outlast him. Rahman openly stated after that fight that he was never hit that hard in his life and that's Rahman coming off KO/TKO losses to Maskaev and Tua. It's the Sanders fight that earned Rahman a title shot against Lewis. Sanders might have not fought ATG opposition, not only because they obviously didn't exist, but his power was for real. In the heavyweight division if you have power and speed you can be dangerous to anyone, landing a fast power punch as a heavyweight against someone that doesn't see it coming is extremely hard to handle. It's his stamina and conditioning that made him a gatekeeper and that's what he was.

Those who say he hit like Tyson, are out of their mind, Tyson was a real puncher's puncher. Sanders had good power and he could punch BUT he was not the monster puncher some on here would have you believe. Does he hit harder than Haye? Can't say he does, Haye has KO'd 4 of 5 opponents at this weight and he did stagger Valuev.

As for Vitali never being in much trouble before that, pure BS Lewis had him in much more trouble.

I don't give a **** what your box rec opinion is of Sanders. Do you understand?? The guy WAS a very serious puncher. Arguably the most powerful lefty at heavyweight. Only Moorer would be close.

Sanders only ever devastated wlad. He was very deceptive, not many southpaw heavyweights full stop let alone many who throw the counter straight in such a way. That being said, over his career he wasn't consistently powerful. He caught wlad with a beauty of a counter shot, he didn't rush him, he timed and countered him.

Haye has consistently knocked out his opposition. He is good at landing his shots due to his speed and timing.

Maybe sanders had more raw power, but over his career he didn't demonstrate this.

Haye might be smaller but he consistently knocks people out.

Has haye ever knocked out anyone as good as wlad? Ofcourse not, even the pre-prime version of wlad is better than anyone haye has defeated to date. Has haye ever destroyed someone in that manner? Yes i'd say so.

Judging off one night maybe sanders gets the nod, but going off career so far I see no way someone can vote for sanders.

Never mind all this could have been business, the fact is he wasn't. He will go down as a never-was who beat a pre-prime great fighter.

Peter only KO'd bums, I think both Sanders and Haye hit harder them him. BTW Wlad fell apart in the first fight with Peter, luckily Peter is trash so he won.

Takes much more than power to KO everyone. It also takes great boxing skill and sanders did not have that.

Sanders KO'd much better heavyweights than haye has.

Sanders by a mile. One of the hardest punchers at heavyweight in the last 25 years. Top 10 in the power department for sure.

Sanders had all the skills in the world but not the work ethic of a professional boxer.
Main difference between Haye and Sanders is chin.
Sanders could fight in punching range, slip a punch and counter with his straight left, always with the risk of getting hit.
Haye has to fight outside the punching range due to his chin. When hes decides to throw, his shots are more looping, because he hast to close a bigger distance. He has to be very fast for this.

At HW Sanders hits consistently harder, because he could risk to put more behind his shots.
