Referees don't take points for pushing in the sport of boxing.

    Pushing doesn't score points.

Khan excuse for pushing is fair enough

Peterson even said he didn't mind

But should he need to do it? no and he will reduce it next fight

    but won't completely stop it

Peterson is gonna do the same thing.

    This is irrelevant.
Cooper was for Peterson that night. Every other word out of his mouth that night was "Khan" He nagged Amir the whole fight...

Amir; despite his performances in the later rounds, would have won the fight. But Cooper took two points from him on something I've never seen called in my years of watching the sport.

One thing Khan doesn't like is being embarrassed. Hes got alot of pride and will put on a better performance

Foreman pushed away. Ali pushed down on the back of the head. Each were champs at their preferred manner of pushing.

Cotto did quite a lot of pushing away against Tony in their second fight. Worked real well for him too. When Floyd does that bend over thing he does, I wonder what Miguel will do? Push down, or hit Floyd on the back of the head?

Lamont Peterson adapted to Khan in that fight. He needed to win and did what gave him the highest chance of winning.

    The Ref helped him out.

Khans pushing usually came in instances where Lamont jumped in with his head down, and swung up. Khan pushed him off. Most out fighters would have.

Refs dont call pushing. Joe Cooper called it cause he was pulling for their hometown boy.
