Macklin beating Asikianen easily. No way expected that.

Rhodes. Thought he'd get out muscled and stopped. Terrific fight.

I'd go along with Rhodes as well to be honest.

When the fight was made I thought he had no chance and after 4 rounds I thought he would be beaten within a couple more.

To come back as he did and stop Moore was amazing.

Honourable mentions to: John McDermott against Tyson Fury; John Simpson against Paul Truscott in their second fight; Jason Booth against Mark Moran and although he will move on to much bigger occassions and more difficult opponents, Nathan Cleverly against Danny McIntosh.

Jason Booth had been the most consistent this year on putting on a 'clinic' over his opponents. But Rhodes has the more stand out victory.

I've got to go with Rhodes too. It was great to see him achieving success in such breath taking, exciting fashion after being written off all those years ago. Kind of felt bad for Jamie Moore as he's a great fighter too, but if Moore had to lose to anyone then I'm glad it was Rhodes. Well done gentlemen, British fight of the year for me.

Also John Simpson and Jason Booth, two of my favourite domestic boxers have had impressive showings this year too.

    Rhodes bar none.

  9. Has to be Rhodes. He surprised a lot of people.

    Moore will be back.

I actually felt he was getting the upper-hand after the first four. He seemed calm under-pressure and Moore wasn't really shaking him up. Rhodes is tough, make no mistake.

Just a shame that the top guys at 154 are so good right now. He'll lose to Martinez or Cintron, I'd guess.

I agree and he wouldn't get a lot of money in the process. However, if he can land a fight against Julio Caser Chavez Jr I think he wins and will earn a shot at Martinez or Williams for a lot of money.
