Who put on the better masterclass? Calzaghe vs Lacy or Hopkins vs Pavlik?

easily calzaghe. Calzaghe fought lacy at 168 where they were both supposedly at their best.

pavlik at 170!?..nah

 

Imagine what a younger Hopkins would have done to Pavlik....Stoppage for sure.

Despite Joe dominance....how can you not KO someone landing so many ...also Lacy had beaten no one of note prior to Joe and beaten no one since....so hes been consistant...LOl

Pavlik had JT's name on his resume twice, and the 1st KO of Miranda...ruined him for Abraham

 

well its was obvious to every1 after the second round that lacy was going to get massacred. but in the pavlik hopkins fight it took me 4 rounds.

 

Calzaghe.

Hopkins was a great performance though but it wasn't a surprise to me that he would win comfortably. I won a lot of money on it at 4/1 for Hopkins just to win the fight and I'm sure I wasn't the only won.

 

I got a fair bit for betting the fight goes the distance. was sure that hopkins would win but couldnt count out pavliks boxing skill

 

The only reason for that though is that Calzaghe's stamina was not in doubt whereas Hopkins' was.

 

watching both, i'd say calzaghe's was the better display but just by a hair. my opinion is probably affected by how AMAZED i was that calzaghe could do that. Lacy at the end of the day was a very good, but overrated fighter who was COMPLETELY destroyed. Hopkins put on a wonderful show and really humiliated pavlik but c'mon, he's hopkins: he'd already proven himself and pavlik was fighting just a teeny bit high for him. both wonderful wins but joe's was flawless against a fighter who had no excuses
