I was just talking about an article that was recently posted. I don't remember everything it says I'm gonna have to take a look at it again.

A little disrespectful not to include his upcoming opponent, a proven welterweight one-punch KO artist (unlike anybody in the poll), don't you think?

Sure, I'd love to see Cotto and Martinez pick on his bones and erase the sting of their losses, but in the meantime...war Garcia! :ibutt

Martinez worst fighter for Margarito. Margarito did not train for the fight with Mosley. Even Steward mentioned it. I was going to put lost of money on Mosley because of that, but got back from the Mojave desert too late to place my beat at the Red Rock Casino! Would have made lots of money as Margarito was the favorite. Mentioned before the fight that fans should not read much into Mosley's win over Margarito.

Proven one punch KO artist??? The best fighters he's fought was Carson Jones who he beat by decision and Freddie Hernandez who he has a NC with.

I would hardly call him a proven anything.

Name a single welterweight stopped by a single shot from Cotto or Pacquiao. Garcia has finished several men with more or less one blow. They may not have been worldbeaters, but stopping a man cold is something not everyone can do at a given weight. He's proven he can at 147. Neither of them has.

He's a truer welterweight, and undeniably stronger than either one of them, even if the quality and depth of both their records dwarf his.

Being found as a cheat was the main factor.
Though the fights with Cotto and Mosley probably took 10 years off his life and put him on course for parkinsons.

Put Garcia in with the guys Cotto or Pacquiao have fought and he stops none of them. Put Pacquiao or Cotto in with the bums he's fought and they could def not most f them with one punch.

Just because you can lay out bums and tomato cans doesnt mean you can do it vs world class or even top 15-20 level fighters.

If i could write history, Cotto would rematch him and outbox him through the first 8 rounds, and start getting roughed up bad again the next three, but shows his heart and guts and wars with margarito in the 12th and wins a UD....

Make no mistake, Cotto put a beating on Marg in their first fight, ya it was Cotto who showed it, but Margaritos head absorbed a lot of shots.... to be honest i cant believe his face held up (skin, swelling, ect)

anyways... thats how i would like to see things play out, although i know that wont happen.

OK, fair enough, he hasn't faced much in the way of world class (though he did seem to have an eventual knockout over the boderline Hernandez well in hand). I just have faith based on what I've seen that he can hang at that level, and that he can give Margarito problems with his defense and durability, and harder punching but less busy style. You obviously don't. We'll see. Hopefully it's a good scrap if nothing else (even though I'm not spending a penny on it). :good

I think he might have a few moments and land a few big shots but I think Margarito just beats him up. He's not very fast even when compared to Maragrito. Depending on how durable he can be at the world class level I dont think he sees the 10th(and I just looked and realized the fights only 10 rounds:huh). And aint no way I'm paying for that fight either esp when theres free boxing on the same night.

Aside from Garcia this week, I'd prefer Martinez or Cotto to give him a loss. But realistically, if the Mayweather fight falls through, Pacquiao will give Margarito his next brutal beating. Not the fight I want to see, nor do most boxing fans.
