I'm not talking about fighters who continued fighting into older ages, or even fighters who fought for titles when they were much older (ie, Holyfield). I'm talking about fighters who were still fighting and BEATING the best when they were north of 40 years of ago as well as fighting for titles.

Seriously, only Archie moore springs to mind. But even he wasn't dominating up and coming champions like Hopkins did last saturday night.

Could hopkins be the best ever in regards to carrying skills into an advanced boxing age?

Hopkins is the best 40+ athlete in history. People who compare George Foreman to him are nuts. HW division is SOOOOOO much different; it's all about power and power doesn't leave you....Speed does, and B-Hop still was faster than a top 5 p4p guy at 43

Hopkins is also more impressive than Foreman at 40+ because he's beating/fighting-on-even-terms-with better opposition than Foreman.

Bob Fitzsimmons and Jersey Joe Walcott outside of Archie Moore perhaps.
