Who ranks higher all time, British wise, Minter or Hatton?

I think that you could...:yep The titles changed hands a few times quite quickly in that short space of time...:yep

It was a tough division, with same day weigh ins over 15 rounds too...:yep

I'm sticking with Minter...:good

 

I don't think the time of the weigh-ins matters really. Which ever "system" is used, its the same for every boxer active at that time. Same with 15 rounders as well really.

I'm not giving any advantage when ranking fighters because certain rules were or wern't in effect when they fought.

 

Hatton

 

Gotta be Hatton, got KTFO by two p4p#1's, Minter only got himself into a position to do it once.

Also Castillo, Urango, Collazo and Tszyu are bigger wins.

This is important to me: Honeyghan ranks higher than both, and by a considerable distance.

 

Of course Honeyghan rates higher he went into the p4p kings backyard and beat the sh*t out of him.

Prime Honey would have starched Hatton without getting out of first gear.

If we were to compare Honeyghan to Hatton it would be like comparing a Rolls Royce to a mini metro.

Hatton has the better resume for me.. and when Minter fought his ATG he got creamed as well. The difference for me is the Tszyu win, Urango, Malinaggi and Collazo are all solid world operators as well.

Fighting Hagler at his peak and in his optimum weightclass is in no way comparable to smaller pac and a Welterweight mayweather.

I'd actually say the Hagler minter fought would dominate(or at least win very comfortably) both of those fighters were we able to match him up with them on the night they fought Hatton.I don't hold the Mayweather fight against Hatton much, due obviously in part to Mayweathers ability, but also as Hatton had already shown to be an ordinary fighter at Welter against Collazo.

The Pac man fight on the other hand is among the very worst performances ever from a British fighter who was supposed to be a notable legit world champion and considered in P4P lists for a while, etc..total one-sided demolition, while showing all the ringcraft and imagination of a disinterested journeyman.

 

I think the ultimate question, Mantequilla, is: Would you class Hatton as an "unskilled labourer"?

 

How about comparing the wins of the 2 fighters rather than being negative and deciding the issue on who "lost the best" to an ATG???
