Who ranks higher all time, British wise, Minter or Hatton?

As to the question I asked, myself, I'm not hugely sure, as I'm not totally up on Minter fights away from the obvious - looking to find out a bit more.

What efforts? He ran in got his head near knocked off. Was a waste of everybodys time and money (especially if they 'put their mortgage on him' :yep)

Anyway, I'd say Hatton marginally. Minter lost to a few less than top notch opponents, sort of like losing to Urango or somebody. Hatton was at least consistent, if fortunate against Collazo. Tszyu and Antuofermo is the comparison, but outside that I'd give the nod to Hatton.

Minter may have actually been the better fighter but it doesn't translate out in their records.

Collazo was a legit win. ESB Brit forum have passed judgement on that fight.

I trust the Brit forum more on the fights that don't involve Brits. Hatton is practically a deity on here and a national hero, his fat head will be on the next 2p coin.

If thats your attitude then it was kinda pointless starting the thread on the fight in the first place?;)

That fight was close but Collazo being the underdog and how Hatton had marked up skews some peoples memories of it. If you score Fighter A vs. Fighter B round by round then it s 1 or 2 point fight for Hatton.

I wanted to see if my perception that we're a biased lot was correct.

Didn't we all score it round by round and evidently that wasn't the case for all of us? ;)

For what it's worth, Minter's early record was average. But he went on to fight and beat all comers except the very, VERY best. That's why I just edge it towards him

Seems to be pretty strongly in Hatton's favour.

I haven't seen a huge amount to sway me to Minter.

Hatton won that fight, cos Freddie Roach said so, and he's never wrong and he never lies, his momma raised him too well! He didnt take too kindly to Salita claiming Collazo won, and neither would he take it from you,he's already threatened to knock out Roger Mayweather, dont be the next name on his ko list :bbb
