Pacquiao was and always will be on Mayweather's level, that fight he had an atrocious strategy and Roach has always been VITAL to Pac's success, he didn't turn up for that fight or prepare him to deal with not having a speed advantage.

Um nah.... he declined. Plain and simple. He'd been in wars for 20 years. The wars he had with Morales and Marquez are enough to put most fighters in a wheelchair.

There was absolutely no game plan for roach to implement. #48 was simply out of his depth. Roach knew this and said years earlier that he needed more fights to prepare for PBF. #48 didn't have the skill set in order to beat PBF and PBF would beat any version of him and it was always easy to see for people who know boxing.

You can't beat PBF if you don't have a jab you can't beat PBF if you only fight at one range you can't beat PBF if you can't make adjustments, he's too good.:deal

    How are people ranking them?
I didn't grow up watching Whitaker or Jones so I can't comment too much on them.
I would love to see someone actually break down their career accomplishments without a biased view. That's what we really have to go by.
We can't rank them with this head-to-head BS or who was better p4p, because we simply don't know who really would have won. We could speculate, but imo when ranking fighters we have to go by their accomplishments.

That's not his signature win. Even still he was too good for #48 that much is certain.:hi:

His Pacquiao? Toney and Hopkins are both greater than DM. You are good at this fail stuff... Heck, I can even argue that Tarver was more his Pacquiao than DM and Roy fought him 3 times past his peak, so you fail there too.

He didn't have an atrocious strategy, he fought the same way he always had.

It's just that Floyd shut him down.

You can't honestly believe that? That fight was the passing of the torch, which Floyd nearly messed up!

I love how nobody picks up on this... Ever!

20 odd years as a pro and not only did your "signature win" happen FIFTEEN YEARS AGO, it happened against someone who was weight-drained by like 18lbs!

How do you go FIFTEEN YEARS and TWENTY THREE FIGHTS LATER and he STILL can't put on a better performance? And against even worse fighters? Dude's a fraud, man.

Oscar was past it, but he wasnt shot, not like the version Pac fought.
