I'd agree with the speed, athletic....combination wise he flurries more than throws combos, the pace he fights at is remarkable though some of the best stamina I have ever seen

    Yes, bordering on ridiculous.

I'm sorry but Manny Pacquiao's gotta fight for at least another 5 years bare minimum before any comparisons with Archie are made. It's just out of respect IMO. Archie was a great fighter who was denied a title shot for years. Think of how good he was before he was champion. Pacquiao is very good but he doesn't belong in any discussions comparing greatness with Archie Moore.

It's almost like asking if Calzaghe ranks higher than Marciano based on their records, which is totally obscene.

Beeing the only one winning belts from flyweight to superwelterweight including, I think, two lineal championships.

I dont know if winning a belt really counts as much of an achievement.
I mean, if they had all the bull**** titles and belts we have nowadays in Archie Moore's day he probably would have held world titles almost every year for 20 years in 5 divisions (from middleweight to heavyweight).
Pacquiao's latest title is a particularly good example of how ridiculous these titles are.

There is some truth in that, nevertheless it is unique.

  10. you are very very wrong.... The old school is seriously overrated.career apart. I think that pfp manny is better boxer. I am pretty sure that the current version of manny would give work to even armstrong. For example joe louis is above tyson in the history according to his career by a mile, but i think that a prime tyson with ROONEY in his corner would ko louis.

Fair enough, Rooney was an excellent disciple of Cus, ensuring Tyson followed the D'Amato style correctly.

    FYI:
    Tyson's head trainers, before prison:

    Kevin Rooney (1985-1988 ): 35-0
    Aaron Snowell (1989-1990): 2-1
    Richie Giachetti (1990-1991): 4-0
