Who ranks higher at heavyweight, Tunney or Charles?

    Tough to call. As already said, Tunney had the bigger wins with his wins over Dempsey, but Charles was there longer and had the greater depth of resume. I rate Charles higher at 175, but Tunney arguably peaked at 185-190.

    In a rap contest maybe.

    In a fight, Tunney would mop up the floor with shards of Jones' chin.

    I can't vote... Why? Simple... Its a double-edged sword here... Tunney wins the crowd of the pre-1950 fans, while Charles wins over the fans from 1950 and onward... TRUTH!! We got a draw in popularity....

    it is fair, before cruiserweight that's what the heavyweight class consisted of, overweight light heavys.
