    Bias thread. He beat the brakes off Patterson. Head to head he could never beat a guy like Liston. Pound for pound Patterson was probably a better fighter. His back problems really plagued the latter part of his career.

    What I mean is first your user name. Second, in notable fights for Patterson, Liston is never mentioned, but in Liston's notable fights, somehow Patterson is mentioned twice. Notice how you mention the advantages for Liston as far as weight and reach. Thats not Liston's fault. Stop while your ahead. Everybody sees it.

    Well if you go by Boxrec's all-time P4P rankings Patterson is ranked 15th, where as Liston is ranked 61st. In their HW rankings they have Patterson at 4th, Holyfield in 10th, Lennox Lewis at 11th & Liston at 14th. Honestly I wouldn't rank Patterson that high, but I definitely have him over Charles.

    Dead even. Depends on how much you factor in their fights vs each other, then Liston edges it.
