Sonny Liston is a top 10 ATG HW... Floyd Patterson is not.

Pete Rademacher , and undefeated gold medaist sounds awsome. Tell me what was his pro record at the time of the Patterson fight?

As a HW, Liston is far far... far above Patterson.

Because you shouldn't take boxrec rankings to serious.

Would you say the same thing if Haye would knock Ali out.
Since Ali too is a blown up lhw... (See the olympics)

Floyd was a great talent with the chin of a poet.

Liston was a better fighter & a H2H monster, a pure badass who cleaned out the division.

I'm guessing you posted this in the general forum, as it will be a lot easier to overturn the opinion of a flock of sheep.?

Why not post it in the classic?

Haye never fought in the olympics, in the world championships he fought in the heavyweight (91kg) division.

Head to head sonny wins, p4p floyd is one the heavyweights greatest fighters. Floyd was still contending when he was in his late 30s whereas sonny showed up won, and kinda just fell into irreleventness after losing 2x to clay. I mean Floyd was able to last considerable longer against Ali than Sonny. All in all I still have no clue why Floyd allowed sonny to beat him so easily, like why he did not use his bicycle and run circles around liston, I'll put it down to bad coaching. Patterson had all the tools required to beat Liston and couldn't I'll believe it is because he dropped cus d'amato before the fight and was left with a useless corner who did not instruct him on how to use his skills (speed, endurance, guile, evasivness etc) to avoid sonny's hard punches

Patterson had a better overall career maybe, especially in view of his later fights with Chuvalo, Ellis, Quarry, et al. I think he could have done better around 1968 with Liston than he did earlier, but I think Liston would still have won then as well. I picked Liston in the poll.

Pound for pound I guess a better argument can be made for Patterson because he was quite light and could have fought at Cruiserweight today.
