OK, let me try make it clear once and for all:

    P4P ATG list:

Holyfield ranks higher. No debate here I hope.

    HW ATG list:

Holyfield ranks higher, for the following reasons:

He was not a natural Heavyweight and still accomplished so much.
He had medical problems throughout his career, and still did so much.
    He's a 4-time Heavyweight champ (arguably 5-time).
He's the current WBF champion and he's nearly 150 years old.
He beat more world champs than Lewis.
Of their mutual opponents, Holyfield often faced the better version.
    Holyfield beat more ATGs.
    Holyfield beat more HOFers.
Holyfield fought and beat the better competition overall.
Holyfield accomplished a lot of his notable successes AFTER his prime (his prime was '86-'93)
Lewis beat the worst possible version of Tyson.
Lewis did not dominate an out-of-prime Holyfield in either fight.

    AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:

Id you take the mutual of opponents of Lewis and Holyfield AND the mutual opponents of Lewis and Tyson, so will notice that whenever Lewis faced a mutual opponents between him and either Tyson or Holyfield, Holyfield or Tyson had beaten that guy before Lewis got to him. And that fighter went on to be a nobody after Tyson or Holyfield beat them.

This means Lewis was preying on washed-up fighters that Tyson/Holyfied softened for him.

Too many instances of this to deny.

    SUMMARY:

    P4P:
    Holyfield = top 30
    Lewis = top 60

    HW:
    Holyfield = top 8
    Lewis = top 12

    Oh yes, I almost forgot.

    Lewis was a despicable ducker.

Here are the modt notable fighters you could have fought in the '90s at HW:

    Mike Tyson
    David Tua
    George Foreman
    Larry Holmes
    Michael Moorer
    Riddick Bowe

Of those 6 fighters, how many did Lewis face in the 90s?

I'll think you'll find that the answer is ZERO.

Holyfield!! Like others have said he gave Lewis trouble when he was well past it, and actually probably won the second fight anyway .. A better version of Holyfield knocks Lewis out in my opinion.. The Riddick Bowe the Evander Holyfield beat in fight 2 would beat anyone that Lewis ever faced in my eyes..

lets look at the wins, or the ones of value anyway..

    Holyfield

Dokes 37-1 and a serious contender at the time.
Stewart 24-0-24kos at the time, would prove to be a handful for Moorer and Foreman down the road.
Douglas First man to beat Tyson, Holyfield makes him look like a BUM.
Foreman A major handful for anyone here, Holy wins convincingly.
Cooper A journeyman yes, but quite a puncher and when hes on he can fight. Underrated since he gave up in some of his bigger fights...
Holmes Past it but still a threat.
Bowe II Holyfields best fight based on his opposition in my eyes, he mixed boxing and slugging perfect in this one.
Mercer I think this was the best Mercer ever was and Holyfield not only beat him but was the first to drop him.
Tyson I Holyfield did what I always thought he could, whip Mike..
Moorer II Holyfield avenges a loss in impressive fashion.
Lewis II The old man should have got the nod here.
Ruiz I Old man finds a way against an impossible opponent. Ruiz almost drove me out of boxing, I hated him!!
Rahman A win over a Lewis beater lol

So I have 13 good wins for Holyfield..

    LEWIS

Mason Protected Britt but still 35-0 is impressive.
Ruddock One of the best wins of his career though Ruddock was ruined by Tyson previously.
Tucker Lewis looked bad but Tucker was still 48-1 at this point, though he can thank King for the, still know Orlin Norris should have got the nod along with others!!
Bruno Usually the Big fight loser was Bruno and he was here again.
Morrison Duke could bang, but didn't catch to well lol
Mercer Lennox gets the nod in a close one against a good Mercer.
Golota Starched a feared man (at the time) in 1, impressive.
Holyfield I "the draw" Lewis won this one.
Grant though he turned out to be hype 31-0 at the time and a huge specimen of a man, Lewis very dominant..
Tua 37-1 and a feared man here, Lewis though he bores us shuts him out pretty much.
Rahman II Brutal knockout impressive in this rematch..
Tyson Just a name at this point but I gave Holyfield the Holmes fight so...
    Klitschko Squeaked by, but did...

    13 For Lewis...

So they are the same for me in impressive heavyweights they have wins against.. I will still take Holyfield based off the fact that I favor him H2H and he has more impressive wins over better opposition...

Absolutely agree with you.. I was just throwing one to Lennox there since it was still Tyson, though you are 100% correct that Holmes was superior to that Tyson..

Some of you guys are surely joking.

Mike Tyson: Payed Lewis a step aside fee.

David Tua: Lewis fought and beat Tua, was it somehow less important because it was in 2000 instead of the magic 90s? tua was 27 at the time!

Foreman: Seriously? Was this fight even talked about? When did Lewis duck him? Did Foreman ever want to fight Lewis?

    Holmes: Well past it.

Bowe: Slam dunked his belt in the bin rather than face Lewis. Whatever excuses he wants to use doesn't matter.

Moorer: Was this fight being called for? Did Moorer ever want to fight Lewis? How is it a duck? When did Lewis duck him?

Lewis admitted in a SKY Sports interview shown December 2010 that he avoided Michael Moorer because Moorer was a southpaw
