Holmes - more dominant imo, together with being a better H2H fighter.

And his resume isn't that inferior to Lewis' if you throw in the second Spinks fight, which he undoubtedly won.

That said, I thought Holmes beat Witherspoon. If you think Holmes lost that fight then their ranking becomes more disputed.

I think Larry was all around a better fighter. Larry concentrated better as the Lewis knockouts by Rahman and McCall prove. If Larry were the size of Lennox I don't think anyone would have beaten him.

Yes, Lennox Lewis did more than Holmes in a better era. A large part of Holmes' ultra-long title reign was junk. He was a great champion from '78 to '82, but after that, forget about it! Lewis took on guys that people wanted to see him fight. Holmes didn't. Would Holmes have fought Vitali Klitchsko on short notice? At the end of his reign?

I've got Lewis 4 and Holmes 5, Lewis by a bee's dick on a better body of work. If Holmes went harder late career it might go the other way.

I wanted to see Lewis fight Bowe and a younger Tyson.

Probably. Vitali had done what to make Holmes lose any sleep at the time Lewis fought him?

If you had asked me 10 years ago, I'd have no hesitation in picking Holmes. Now, it's still Larry for me, but I have to think about it. Time has been kind to Lewis.

Well, can you envision Lewis getting beaten by a lhw? Even at 36?

I do not think Lewis beat much better fighters or had a superior resume at all. WHO were these fighters?
