Whitaker and Quartey were close fights.

Sturm won his fight by 3+ Rounds imo. But I don't hear that many people or press complaining about Quartey or Whitaker.

Also :D I'm pretty sure 99% of boxers will want wins over Mosley and Tito as compare to Felix Sturm

If you are gonna nit pick wins over Quartey or Whitaker for Oscar, there's dozens of articles and score cards for Floyd-Castillo that had Castillo winning by a few points. Every fighter got those kinds of fights.

Yup. Had Castillo over Mayweather and Sturm over Oscar by 2 or 3 points a piece.

Nitpick? Those weren't close. Oscar got badly and I do mean badly outboxed by Quartey for the latter half of that fight.

Whitaker completely took away his offense and his jab was landing consistently. Pea was more busy as well.

Both clear losses that Oscar got the benefit of the doubt in..a benefit he didn't deserve.

Funny **** coming from a guy with Oscar in his avatar. PBF is light years more skilled and complete than Oscar is. He's the best fighter of his era and the best defensive fighter of his era as well. You have a bias against PBF who would be elite in any era. You would be a fool to overlook the man's skills work ethic and ring IQ that makes him better than Oscar in every sense of the word. Not only that he beat him at a weight he had no business at. Types like you kill me because of your bias you don't give PBF his due and underrate the hell outta him.

You remind me of Duran apologist who prop him up saying he's the best despite him losing to elite fighters left and right and make excuses for his losses and over hype his wins just like you're doing for Oscar right now. I can't take people like you seriously for boxing debate. You have to take loses into consideration when discussin greatness, wining against the best is part of being great not just fighting them. People like you give too much credit for fighting the best but not beating the best and it's a flawed losing argument.

Floyd is not better than Oscar "in every sense of the word." The nut-hugging is getting ridiculous.

Yes he is. Better and more complete it's not even debatable. PBF has Oscar beat in nearly every department.:deal

Floyd's defense is better but that's about it.

Oscar is by far the better combination puncher with the better jab.
Better body punching goes to Oscar as well.
Floyd's right hand is good. Oscar's left hook is ten times better :deal

Floyd's the better counter-puncher, and is more efficient and accurate.

Oscar has the more varied punch selection, is many times the offensive fighter Floyd is, has a much stiffer more consistent jab, is more fluid in inside exchanges, and when facing a threatening aggressor, has superior lateral movement.

These things aren't exactly relevant to their accomplishments in terms of resume, but if someone can't see the comparative advantages above, you can see why they couldn't entertain the notion Oscar has beaten better fighters.

    What????
PBF has better counter-punching speed reflexes higher ring IQ footwork stamina inside fighting ability accuracy just to name a few. BTW that same left hook that didn't even land on PBF because he took it away??? You talking about that left hook?:rofl:good

Inside fighting ability? You should watch some of Oscar's earlier stuff. His career began before the Floyd fight you know :good

and  @ having better speed. Again, watch some of Oscar's fights before 2006 :hi: Oscar would have danced circles around Mayweather just like he did Tito if Floyd got a prime Oscar, and you know it ;)

Floyd is not an ATG lol. Fighting distracted (Chico), old (Mosley) and shot (Cotto) fighters dont mean ****. And these are his best "wins".
