Oscar was a one-handed fighter if you took away his left hook he became average. Oscar is a product of a great story and great marketing. He's an ATG but he's no where as good as his fans make him out to be and his record in big fights prove it.

Oscar never ducked anyone, fought better people, but lost them all, IMO he still lost to pernell whitaker, and whitake was robbed in the fight, he never could defeat guys at the top, whereas floyd, despite buying out mosley and ortiz, still has several wins over elite fighters, despite ducking pacquiao

I like Broner so what? He's exciting has a personality and is good for the sport. I scored the Pac fight with Bradley a draw so I don't know WTF you're talking about?

Level of competition does matter but don't act as if PBF's resume is as weak as Calzaghe's. PBF beat legit fighters through multiple weights while seldom losing rounds in the process. When you factor in he fights in a style that has been a stylistic nightmare throughout the history of the sport then he fares well in H2H match ups as well. At 130 he was the GOAT IMO still great at 135 and 140. I agree with you about 147 and 154 not being his best weights. Even still he hasn't lost there and has looked good just not as great as he did at lower weights mostly due to his lack of lateral movement and slower handspeed there.

Oscar is an ATG and was great for the sport while he was on top. With that said he was a flawed fighter who was stiff robotic and one handed, he also got a few gifts and lost some major fights. Elite ATGs overcome that type of adversity and still find a way to win while Oscar came up short on the biggest stage more often than not. And for that he can't be rated higher than PBF who was more complete consistent and better.

Oh really? :think Lets see if that works with other fighters:

What would happen if you take away Mayweather's defensive reflexes?
What would happen if you take away Pac's left?
What would happen if you take away Klitschko's, and Lennox Lewis size?
If you take away George Foreman's power he isn't ****.
What would happen if you take away Tito's power?

Oscar may have had a good story to help market him, but just because he has a good story doesn't automatically mean he didn't accomplish what he ACTUALLY accomplished, and that his career was any easier... Many fighters had good stories and never amounted to ****. David Reid was a gold medalist as well, very promising.

The FACT is that Oscar has beat more champions and beat more former champions.
He has WON more title fights.
    Has become champion more times.
Has been champion in more weight classes.
Has fought and BEAT better opposition.

What your saying is So Flawed. Here's why :

Oscar has won more title fights than Sugar Ray Leonard
Oscar has been champion more times than Leonard
Oscar beat more Champions than Leonard
Oscar won titles in More weight classes than Leonard

Judging by your Criteria are you Foolish enough to Rank Oscar over Ray Leonard ???

Look Isal I know Oscar is your boy and I know you will defend him but he was indeed flawed. He was still one of the best fighters of his era an a ATG. I felt he beat Tito but got robbed. He was very good in his peak and brought a lot of attention and many casuals to the sport and right now is the best promoter in the game. I just feel that PBF is a better fighter overall, I know you will never agree just like I will never agree that Oscar is better but that's fine.:good

There is one FLAW in YOUR criticism.

    Floyd is not Leonard.

Leonard beat better opposition than Oscar, and easily trumps over Floyd's opposition.

I want to know exactly what it is that makes Floyd a more accomplished fighter than Oscar...

USING YOUR LOGIC, Floyd should be ranked higher tha Leonard because Floyd is undefeated? Nope. Doesn't work that way.

Here's a post from a thread I made a while back, that should add to the discussion when comparing Mayweather and Oscar's careers

I never said Floyd was Leonard because he is not. I never mentioned anything about Floyd being Undefeated. I was pointing out 4 of your points you made where flawed. You basically admit that in your point above. Leonard is greater than Floyd and I rank him higher than Floyd. That is not even debatable.

Look I like Oscar. I have alot of respect for him. He was a great fighter, who was really great for the Sport. He helped carry it, he fought top competition and was a great guy. I have great respect him. He is an ATG, one of the best of his era. In fact I got my Picture taken with him in 09, really cool dude. I just think when it came to the Big fights he came up Small and Lost. When I take into account consistency, ability, longevity and wins, I rate Floyd higher. That's my opinion. You have an opinion and I respect that. Your a great Poster.

Knockout Artist-generally a fair breakdown, though I think it would be more constructive to include Tito and Mosley 2, which are nearly universally considered Oscar wins which probably trump any of Floyd's IMO.
