Only real loss in his prime was to a probably roiding Mosley in 2000.

Had Oscar closed the show vs Trinidad and won convincingly in either Mosley bouts then I would give him the slight edge.

 

dlh ever slightly. losing some big wins is not as bad as not fighting some big ones like mayweather has (prime Cotto, Casa, Freitas, Marg, Pac, etc)

 

That is not always the case man...Not everyone who thinks Oscar has a more fulfilled career is a Floyd hater or Pac fanatic.

I think Floyd was/is a better boxer, but De La Hoya fought the better fighters and has the better CV.

It will be 100 years before the US gets a mexican president they got a lot of catching up to do:blurp Floyd>oscar plus he beat oscar at oscar's best weight in oscar's chosen ring size and chosen gloves. Floyd beat him in his house he dominated mosley who beat oscar and he remains undefeated. It's not even close.

 

Oscar beat better fighters than Floyd.

 

I don't see how you can argue Floyd has the better wins. Beating a prime Tito, edging a still game Whitaker, moving up to fight and knock out a roided Vargas, out-boxing Mosley in the rematch...all better than a faded DLH who himself is likely Floyd's best win.
