How many great fighters did Mayweather beat that were older than Chavez?

    Besides all of them.

If you need to ask who Quartey beat then obviously you're not equipped to deal with this conversation.

No kidding. Oscar doesn't get credit for an older Whitaker or Chavez but Floyd gets credit for old Delahoya, old Mosley and old Marquez?

    *****s out in full force.

Quartey was good but he lost his big fights. You could argue he did beat Oscar.

Nobody saying Oscar doesn't get credit for beating Chavez. Oscar win over Chavez was a good win as was Floyds win over Marquez, Mosley and Oscar. I just dont think he beat Pernell. I don't be childish and label me *****. Im not going to cry and get buthurt, it your opinion. Everybody has opinions.

And what about Floyd/Castillo 1? If you want to nitpick, you have to say Floyd really lost against Castillo too then.

There goes that precious 0. :hi:

I Agree. I thought Floyd was very Lucky to get the Decision in the first fight. I'm not disagreeing with that point.

So why are you only counting Oscar's "controversial" win against Whitaker against him but nothing against Floyd?

My thoughts on Oscar's "controversies", meaning not including the fights where he was obviously robbed

*He won against Whitaker and Quartey
*Floyd performed too well in their fight and it wasn't no SD. NO way that Oscar arguably won

Because the conversation had been about Oscar's wins, that why I hadnt had a chance to Mention Floyds Lucky win over Castillo in the first fight. However Floyd did manage to win the rematch clearly and redeem himself. Oscar and Whitaker never re-matched. However Floyd dont deserve that much credit for Castillo 1 and Oscar don't deserve that Much Credit for Whitaker because In My eyes neither of them were proper Wins.

Losing to Castillo is certainly worse than losing to Pea.

But Pea was well Past his Prime and at times made Oscar look like a fool.

Pea was #1 or #2 P4P and reigning welterweight champ. How is that well past?

We also shouldn't give Oscar credit for beating guys like John John Molina at 135, when almost all of Molina's career was at 130. Chicanito at 135 when his whole career was at 130. Leija who spent the majority of his career at 130 and Oscar fought him at 135. Gonzales was a career lightweight. Oscar fought him at 140. In fact, almost all of Oscar's career below 140 was cherrypicking.

If that were the case Floyd doesn't get credit for Marquez, Ortiz, Cotto, Mosley, or Delahoya either since they spent the majority of their careers away from the weights Floyd fought them.

Oscar cherrypicked? How about Floyd just flat out not fighting Williams, Margarito, Freitas, Casamayor, and Pacquiao, most of all :patsch
