Him being p4p don't mean anything. Whitaker was well Past his Best. Vitali is heavyweight champ but is way past his best. Floyd is current number 1 but he is past his best. When Roy was past his prime he was ranked high p4p.

DLH ran from Tito, and was outfought by my man Sugar Shane. Even today he admits Sturm is his Daddy, and Hopkins whooped his ass right after that fight.

DLH's best was never good enough........

He was a crack ho by the time Pacman was across the ring.

DLH came into that fight as a bona fide cokehead, am I right?? No way is he greater.

Hopkins would have raped FLoyd's *******, as well as Pacquiao's and just about every single WW you can think of not name Hearns,Leonard, or Robinson.

At that weight, Hopkins might even be favored against Leonard/Hearns.

So saying Hopkins 'whooped' Oscar's ass means jack ****ing ****. He would have analized both Pac and Floyd 3x worst. It would have been a savage beating at that weight.

All ODH did was lose when the lights were brightest or get a decision he didn't deserve. I will admit even though he turned into Usain Bolt for the last 4 rounds against Tito, he still deserved to win. I respect that he took on all these fighters, but he lost to most of them. You only get so many points for "trying". ODH also fought a lot of smaller guys that nobody remembers or cares about either. Some how he always got a free pass in that regard.

Floyd by far and away has more skill and ability than ODH. Not even close, but the fact that ODH has better names on his resume, even though he lost or got gift decisions should probably be rated higher than Floyd. Now if this was a question of who has more talent then Floyd is rated higher by a country mile.....

What Floyd did above 135 keeps him below all time ..I mean all he did was make fights to protect his 0 .

Roy was immediately dropped after he got iced by Tarver. Floyd barely even fights anymore and he's been dropped a few times just based on that. Whitaker was regularly defending his title and keeping his status. And Vitali is NOT the heavyweight champ.

Even if he was, a victory over him OR his brother would be extremely meaningful to someone else's career.

oscar should have beaten trinidad and lost to sturm. those are clear robberies and oscar gets credit, but discredit against sturm. but Tito is better than a sturm win anyways 3 weights out of oscars best weight

it is also painful to see sugar sgane get such a pass against oscar for blatantly cheating with Balco and Conte and penalising oscar for these losses, when he kept it close and Mosley was cheating regardless? Odd to me.

guaranteed if some of the floyd fans found out about shane cheating against him they would burn his ass at the stake and make sure those losses to floyd were NEVER counted

this really is a toss up. floyd miss a lot of fights, and oscar lost some. whats important? Trying and doing well against the very best, or missing out on some of the very best while beating the middle road of your opponents?

Floyd Mayweather has been Boxing all his life, and you must not know much outside the record books.

Why do you think he got into this sport? He beat every man they put in front of him, what more do you want??

Still waiting for a counter to this principal example. I don't see what grouping of Floyd's victories you could argue as superior to that trio of universally recognized victories. 50 more votes for Floyd, 180 posters in total, and I have yet to see the relevant proof.

    How am I 'reaching'?

You said Hopkins whopped Oscar's ass like that's something remarkable.. for a LHW to do.

I'm saying if you put any version of FLoyd in Oscar's place, he would have received the exact same ass whooping.

Unless you think Floyd can beat Hopkins at that 158 Pounds Weight Oscar-Hopkins fought at.

Yawn ..Most boxers have fought all their lives ! I never knew Floyd was the only one ! You take me as most Floyd fans ,most of them have tunnel vision !

What more do I want ? For him to have fought the best when they were in their prime ! But guess what he can't because he waited for the waters to calm down ! Sorry I can't rank a guy who carefully selected his opponents as he moved up in weight to pad that record !
