Don't see how you can have the 2nd Mosley fight a draw, but ok.

Together as a group, those 3 popularly accepted wins are better than Floyd's best 3 wins. I think that significantly solidifies Oscars superiority in ranking.

That depends on your cut off of 'atg's I think a lot of people got Trinidad as an ATG.

I don't know about Mosley, I heard he did a lot of steroids and ****...

You guys are saying Oscar is higher based off his resume. A resume in which he lost to a few fighters. You are giving him a win for Mosley 2 but he officially lost that fight. Hell I thought Oscar lost to Sturm but he has an official win over him. Floyd resume may not be as great but Floyd has defeated every opponent including Oscar himself. Also Floyd's career is not over. After he is done we should revisit this bc Floyd could still face Manny, Canelo, and another young hungry lion.

I personally don't consider Trindad an ATG, I consider him great but not all time great. I can see him being borderline

I don't consider Mosley ATG. He did admit taking Steriods. But when look at his contemporary greats like Floyd, Manny, Hopkins and Jones, do you honestly think he deserves to be mentioned as being as good as those guys ????

Bogo, depends on how you judge a resume Mate. I judge it differently to you. I look both guys list of wins in general and I compare, I looked at the depth of wins through their careers. I don't look at top 3 wins. For example morales beat Prime Barrera and Prime Pacquiao. Both wins better than Oscars best wins but Overall I think Oscar has a better depth of wins than Morales. When I compare Floyd and Oscar resume, I think Floyd has Overall better wins. I look at the depth of wins they have and the quality of wins meaning Level of opponent and How he won. I think Floyd has the better resume.

I never said you said Whitaker was prime. I said Whitaker was well past his best. Which he was. He declined as a fighter and was struggling and lucky to beat Mediocore oppostion such as Rivera and Hurtado. Plus he was Coked out.

I stopped reading because I was tired and couldn't be bothered to read your excuses as to why Whitaker wasn't shot.

But at what point does "a lot of very good fighters" weigh more than "3 great ones"? I feel 3 great fighters another fighter can't match can't surpass him. Then it becomes much more subjective and depth can be interpreted in various ways. But you're right in that it's all subjective and comes down to our own differing opinions, I was just trying to provide a more mechanical threshold for rankings which to me Floyd didn't pass. Ranking the next 3 or 4 or 5 would be interesting as well.

    That's a very good point.
You shouldn't look at top 3 wins, I agree. Overall depth is much more important.

What is depth besides a combination of quantity and quality? 3 wins greater than another fighter's 3 should be enough to rank them ahead. Beating a few great fighters is better than beating a higher number of very good ones.

And Oscar's "good wins" are just as good as Floyd's "good wins" :yep
