I have them back to back too, but the other way. Not so sure though.

I was not impressed with the video of Benny you post.

    On that basis, Sugar.

    Benny.

Britton, Kilblane, Dundee, Tendler, Welsh, White..and those are just the ones off the top of my head.

Ray may have him for top end wins..but for depth, longevity and dominance over his best weight I think Benny has one of the best resumes ever.

Not at all, show me a video of Arguello shooting his straight right hand, or a video of Benitez fighting off the ropes against Duran in the last round :good

Dont think the complete Tendler fight is on youtube.

I rank Benny over SRL imo.

    Benny, blatantly.

Ray was awesome, but you can't compare with such a difference in dominance and longevity.

Then of course Benny fought fantastic talents also.

i wasn't impressed at all. i think he would struggle today. apart from fighting regularly, nothing impresses me from this era or before it. of course i admire a guy like leonard or say dempsey, for me they shaped the foundations of 'modern' (say,post-war or 30 onwards) from the boxing and aggressive counterparts. but i feel the same way as i do when i saw for instance tunney or jack johnson:i've seen it done a lot better since by less lauded fighters. only my opinion though, and note i respect the toughness any innovation of these men.
