Just because they didn't test for it back then doesn't automatically mean everyone was on it lol

Just because some of the most competitive human beings in all of human history, who stand to win millions of dollars, who knew that both they and THEIR OPPONENTS could get away with using PED's with no consequences, and that even if they didn't want to use PED's, their competitors would, thereby putting them at a massive disadvantage, doesn't mean they were using them... But it does! Definitionally. That's how human psychology, sociology, systems etc works. If a system massively incentivizes behaviour with no negative consequences then that behaviour is bound to take place. Every single sports organisation that doesn't test for drugs is pro-drugs, that's how that works.

Same thing with Pride FC, the MMA organisation in the early days. They said in the contract that PED's weren't allowed. They also said that PED's weren't tested for... So OF COURSE every competitor was juiced to the gills with PED's. Why wouldn't they be? They're neither expensive or difficult to source. Hell people on my high school rugby team took them.

Sorry for the rant, but people need to realise that PED's and sports go together like coffee and coffee. They're an intrinsic part of sports. This modern moralistic aversion to PED's / the notion they're uncommon didn't even exist prior to the 80's, when athletes would talk about it all the time. Only when sports became a billion dollar industry did they start pretending like PED's were evil and only taken by a few rotten apples so they could have a clean image. There are international football teams of whom every single player on the roster has failed the drug test ffs lmao, and then who STILL lose. Which means either PED's aren't that powerful (they're extremely powerful), or that their competitors took them as well.

Mike is one of the best fighters of all time imo. I'm going with The Jynx.

Big Toney fan and I never particularly enjoyed watching Spinks’ herky-jerky style but it’s clearly Spinks who is the greater of the two.

    Both great fighters.

I can absolutely see why people would say Spinks.

However, I’m really struggling to see why he would be miles ahead.

There’s an awful lot to consider.

    That has zero relevance though.

We also saw what happened to Spinks, when he fought a prime ATG, above his best weight class.

All good, it's still all speculation at the end of the day.
