Lyle beats Tyson I did not stutter.

P4P is a made up fantasy thing like rainbows and unicorn. If I got the definition wrong its not the end of the world. Inch is a better indictator for size than weight. And I stand by that.

Frazier, he was in possibly the greatest era and Foster was in a very weak LHW era.

Usually I say light fighter is better then bigger fighter but this might be a good exception. Foster really doesn't have as many good wins as Frazier and Ali is the best win either man has and his overall wins are better (including over Foster himself) so I'll go with Frazier.

I just don’t see any significant accomplishments by people on Foster’s resume either before or after he fought them.

Like Mike Quarry, for instance, was 34-0 or something like that when he fought Bob and his best wins were over a couple of trial horses with records iirc around 38-20 ish. Very, very carefully managed. I think after Foster his main claim would be winning one out of three vs Mike Rossman, who was a one-hit wonder as a champ.

Yeah, as I said, Foster's doesn't have the quality of names on his win resumes that some other ATG LHWs do.

The flipside is he was as dominant against the LHW field of his own era as any anyone in history.

Agreed I've always said Foster's resume is overrated and he was fortunate IMO to miss out on a very strong Light Heavyweight era a few years later.

Foster had a height/reach advantage over pretty much all of his opponents at Light Heavyweight and his best win over D*ck Tiger was a Middleweight.

Frazier's resume for me is more impressive and he's beaten fighters far taller and bigger than him aka Ali, Bugner, Mathis, etc.

I think Frazier rates higher P4P.

it is interesting. Frazier and Ali and Foreman and Norton are like Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Leonard.. The names together odd to the legacies. Maybe Foster should have had a great fight with Tiger and not knocked him out like that just for a legacy I don't know what means more, it might be remembered better in someways and not in others. Creating rivalries and eras.
