Both are legends. Hopkins has been doing amazing things despite his limitations as a boxer, especially now at nearly 50 years old. However, it was evident that he became very slow because of his age, and Imo he isn't able to fight at the very top level anymore. He has the IBF belt, which is great, but Imo he would hardly be competitive against the very best guys in his division. I've never liked him because of his personality and dirty way he fights an, but there's no question that he has done amazing stuff in his career. Then there is Pacquiao, who is gifted and obviously a lot more skilled and talented than Bernard Hopkins. He had many memorable fights and defeated many great fighters throughout his career, winning belts at 8 different divisions, which is the world record (I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong). He is obviously one of the best fighters of this generation and many consider him to be the best fighter of the decade. He seem to be slowing down recently, but I honestly didn't see many signs of him fading. Imo he's able to come back at the top. Bottom line, I say Pacquiao. He is simply more skilled and he is superior as a boxer, which is very important in my opinion. Also, I think that he has achieved more than Hopkins in his career despite Bernard winning a title at such an old age. I've never seen a guy going through and winning titles at so many divisions and looking absolutely impressive while doing so. I'm not "ranking higher" anyone because Imo there aren't any rankings, I just think that Pacquiao was/is the better boxer, had more impressive career and achieved more. I've never been much of a fan of either boxer, especially Hopkins, so there you go.
Pac and Mayweather are tied for #1 with rjj behind, Hopkins is top 5 but a case could be made for other fighters bumping him out of there depending on judgement
Your as good as your last fight. Hopkins last 2 were absolutely great. Pac has looked too good recently at all. Already walking on his heels. Turning into a tomato can.
