PBF. Better resume. Better head-to-head abilities.

How about Mayweather just because hes better. Both are great but Pacquaio isn't as complete. Mayweather would never get outboxed by someone like Marquez or Morales.

Lets look at Pacquaios resume under the sportlight:

Marquez - most had Marquez winning both, I had him winning each by a point.

Morales - lost against a Morales coming off a loss, then beat Morales WHO WAS COMING OFF ANOTHER LOSS against a none elite. Morales only win in his last 6 was against Pacquaio, yet this is seen as a huge victory

Barrera - sublime win against a near prime Barrera.

David Diaz- excellent win against a fighter below Gattis level (which isnt as bad as some think)

    Then Mayweather:

Hernandez - top 130lber, won every round

Corrales - top 10 P4P, won every round, stopped him

Castillo - future top10 P4P, won twice in tough 1s

Gatti - similar to Pac-David Diaz

    Judah - win over ex top10 P4P

Baldomir - similar to Pac-David Diaz

Delahoya - win over a much bigger ex top3 P4P, who unlike Morales wasn't coming off a loss and was the champ at 154

    Hatton - dominant win over top10 P4P

Mayweathers fought more top 10 P4P fighters, more linear champions and hasn't lost or been outboxed and hasn't shown as many weaknesses as Manny

Not unless his skills go up 10fold he isn't. His performances haven't been in Floyd's league.

I don't give a **** for my - or anyone elses - appraisal of a given fighter's skill. I agree that Floyd was more dominant now, but you have a man who turned pro at 106lbs holding a belt at 135 considering a move to 140. If Pac continues to fight and beat the best it's possible for him to overtake Floyd, regardless of how good Floyd looks beating the good fighters he beat.

Its not possible for Pac to overtake Floyd because Floyd could beat any fighter Pacs beat and not lose to the fighters Pac beat. AND he'd comprehensively beat Pac at 130.

130 is Pacs prime weight, but who would pick Pac to beat Mayweather at that weight? No one, for good reason. Who that Pac fought at his prime weight (130) would beat Mayweather, none of them and Pacquaio lost 1 of those fights and most had him losing the rematch to Marquez

When has Pac ever been undersized? Exactly, hes gone up so many divisions because hes always been a weight drainer. Maybe if Mayweather was a weight drainer he'd have got down to 126 or 122 and been a teenage belt holder at those weights, would you have rated him higher then? Pacs been at 122lbs since hes been 21 and was always big for the division. Lets not pretend hes a natural 108lber. He was a HUGE 130lber weighing 144lbs on fight night ripped to shreds. Physically he has all the same measurements (height/wrist/chest) as Ricky Hatton who is a 140lber. Pacquaio maybe going up divisions but he isn't fighting bigger men than himself, Mayweather was fighting bigger men from 130 onwards

Lastly Pac hasn't even been in with better fighters than Mayweather.

Again, I agree, but I don't hand out wins over guys like Morales and Barrera like sweeties. You have to prove that there. Pac tends to fight better fighters than Mayweather did.

I agree that Mayweather is to be favoured head to head, but Pac is also the smaller man - and this is a pound for pound argument.

Marquez, who Pac fought last time out, is better than anyone Mayweather fought in my opinion.

Corrales at 130 is more formiddle than Morales was. Lets look at Morales at 130/135

    Chavez - won
    Barrera - lost
    Pacquaio - won
    Raheem - lost WIDE
    Pacquaio - lost
    Pacquaio - lost
    Diaz - lost CLOSE

Do you rate Raheem above Mayweather?

AT 130 Pacquaio weighed 140-145 on fight night, 130 is Pacs prime weight. Mayweather weighed 130-137 on fight night, Mayweather is not bigger at 130. 130 is Pacquaios best weight where his skills peaked.

To be clear, you think the respective weights of the two men in their pro debuts is irrelevant?

Better as a whole? Technically perhaps but in terms of speed, power, pressure, combinations Mayweather has fought fighters who do all those things better than Juan Marquez

Would Marquez out Mayweather Mayweather? NO. I don't even think Marquez would win many if any rounds the speed differential is too much and Marquez doesn't make up for that with skill, pressure or power

Regardless of what some men might have done better than Marquez, nobody on Floyd's resume is better pound for pound.
