Morales looked like a dead body for the weigh-in of the second fight, and had been dominated by Raheem 6 months prior. I just can't compute why people continue to hold this victory in super high regard. Morales would never go on to win another professional fight after his Raheem defeat, in which he barely won a round. I don't think he did, actually.

Me too. But, let's say Mayweather completely loses his mind and decides to make a fight with the winner of Martinez/Pavlik...:!:

Not possible, but Martinez beats Floyd.

I've been watching Mayweather for years...I'm well aware that it's not happening, trust me.

Call me crazy, but Floyd has a legitimate chance of beating Pavlik, who isn't as good as conventional wisdom would leave you to believe. At least not in my judgment.

Oh, I'm not going to call you crazy at all. I'm saying it won't happen because he wouldn't take the chance, not because he isn't capable of it. He could do a Haye/Valuevish thing only with more skill. I actually, before the Cotto/Pac fight, thought that Sergio Martinez at 154 was a tougher fight for Floyd than Pac at 147. I'm not quick to say that now, but I'm actually not even convinced otherwise.

Sergio Martinez is certainly a tougher fight than Pacquiao at 147lbs, a fighter I felt beat a 6'2 Paul Williams and who would also beat any active Welterweight in the world.

I also thought he beat Williams, but I wouldn't call it a robbery either. I thought it was close. And Williams is a 6'2 former welterweight champion who unlike Floyd, hasn't even picked up a title at Martinez's natural class of 154. Martinez's only clear loss comes from a welterweight. Under what circumstances, we'll never know.

Circumstances being that he was inexperienced and fighting a big Welterweight in Antonio Margarito? He's much improved now.The loss happened 10 years ago, it's about as relevant as Mayweather's loss in the amateurs against Augie Sanchez.

No, those aren't the circumstances that we wouldn't know about, obviously. I certainly don't think it's comparable to an amateur loss either. It may have been stretching something for me to mention it but it's stretching something to suggest that it's tantamount to an amateur loss.

Perhaps, but 10 years constitutes as a full career in some circles.

I said I may have been stretching it to mention, but you're like a dog with a bone. I'm surprised this hasn't turned into a Ryder discussion three comments ago.

Dude, you can take credit for all of our conversations changing into a Winona discussion. You're relentless, it was you who mentioned her again. What can I say, you have good taste my man.

Tell me a bit about you anyway Boxed ears, we've been changing banter for the best part of 3 weeks and I still don't know who your favorite fighters are etc. We don't even need to go off topic because by the sounds of things, you're a Floyd supporter.
