I hear people say a prime Roy Jones Jr. was the GOAT P4P. Who do you think ranks higher than him P4P?

Best part of 30 guys for me. I'm not sure you could argue less than around 15.

I think what people are trying to say when they say this is that he's the p4p h2h ATG. That is, in their opinion, nobody would do better against a field of ATGs in his weight range than Roy. That's a reasonable opinion (though not mine) and it's very likely he would rank higher on this sort of scale than on a more traditional scale.

I think Roy had glaring weaknesses that showed up against lesser fighters like Griffin in their first fight and a 39 year old McCallum both fighters backed Roy onto the ropes where he didn`t get away from the ropes the way Canelo did vs GGG.

Fitzsimmons and Langford. I'd pick Mayweather Jr too.

Maybe some of the likes of Tommy Ryan. Hard to say with such incomplete records. I sometimes like to stick Jem Mace and Daniel Mendoza into these discussions, people never seem to like to talk about the bareknuckle guys, but what those two achieved looks extremely impressive

Maybe SRR, Langford, Greb, Ali, Duran, Charles, Moore (Archie), Louis, Fitzsimmons rank ahead of him, IMO.

Hovering around #10. Maybe just inside or just outside of it.

    Best of his generation.

(I don't put much stock in fights after his first 50 at age 35.)

He's number 30 on my list, around Mayweather and Pacquiao level.

I always rated Manny over Floyd and Roy.. He fought more guys without thought of loss and had more confidence.. That means something to me. Roy and Floyd sort of handpicked or didn't fight guys at the times they were good. That takes away from their ranking.
