I think tackie was a decent fighter although not that skilled he was very tough and was never stopped in any of his loses. I wouldn't say he was any better than a guy like juan urango though, i think hattons and tyszu's records are quite close at the moment. Tyzsu was in with better fighters alot sooner and has probably beaten alot more mid to good level guys than hatton. However at world level tyszu doesn't have a great amount of wins or wins of top name fighters. If hatton beat manny i think that would take him past tyszu as hattons only loss would have been to pbf and would have ebaten a top p4p fighter as well.
Tszyu wins comfortably at the mo and I'm a big Hatton fan. His record is a whos who of junior welters in the late 90s- mid 00s. Rodriguez, Mayweather, Lopez, Bramble, Fuentes, Gonzalez, Tackie, Ruelas, Hurtado,, Mitchell, urkal, Judah, Leija. True, he could never seem to get that massive career defining bout (of the possibles, Mosley skipped 140 altogether, while Mayweather and DLH stopped only briefly). Nonetheless, certainly a modern great. Ricky has the win over Tszyu plus other good victims in Tackie, Magee, Maussa, Urango, Castillo, malignaggi, Lazcano and Collazo. However, his record is not as strong as Tszyu's and I doubt it ever will be. If he beats Pacman, he starts to get close, but he probably won't.
Im just saying that if you really look close at Hattons wins compared to Tszyu's. Hatton would fight them after they had either come straight off a loss or a couple of loss's. Tszyu fought guys when they were coming off 2 or 3 wins in a row. Go take a look.
