What great fighters has Wlad beaten? The best guy he fought was Corrie Sanders and he had his Glass Jaw shattered to smithereens by him. There are no great fighters in this generation, they are all blown-up LHWs and CWs, fat slobs who could make MW, and talentless hacks. It is not surprising that he has been more dominant than Liston, he hasn't fought ANYBODY worth a flying ****. The Klitschkos are good, the best of the oughts, for sure, but both of them lost to their best respective opponents and that is a Fact.

Wladimir Klitschko is the more dominant in his era than Liston was in his but in saying that, Wlad is a good boxer who's fought avergae fighters (in comparison to past HW champs) and will never be as highly regarded as Sonny Liston.

Liston has the better wins, Wlad has had the longer reign and more consistency...Liston would massacre wlad h2h....pretty damn close these 2. Don't forget that Liston also beat some very good heavy's who would be top 3 nowadays like WIlliams, Machen, Foley

Sorry i thought you used the word Fact? I don't see any facts in this outrageous statement. 49 yo Holyfield is a massive black eye for modern boxing. His presence alone today makes the hw division a joke. He should have been Champ too against Valuev

today has the worst HW division in history. As much as a fact as yours just more believable

Holyfield would stop that chickenlegged Liston inside 30 seconds. Patterson was 180 lbs. Enzo Mac would stop him inside a round.

I hate to admit it but Wlad does. To me, Liston is greater.

Wlad's ATG ranking is closer to the gentleman that Liston KO'd twice in one round than it is to where Liston ranks. There's really no comparison here. These are 2 different levels of fighter. And ill-informed fools insinuating that Wlad's current reign at the top being more dominant than Liston's 59-63 run is just plain laughable.

Liston was more dominant over a better quality of opposition. And cleaned the division far more thoroughly in 4 years (without even being the champ), than Wlad has in 6 years on top of the division. And did so in truly dominant fashion (without the assistance of a tag team partner) disposing of several top 5 ranked Heavyweights in 3 rounds or less, as opposed to picking & pawing at vastly inferior opposition, scared to death to throw any punch other than a jab, out of fear of getting hit too hard .

Wlad, as of right now, can't carry Liston's jockstrap.

Klitschko. For several reasons. The one I list here is that Klitschko never took a dive.

    Wlad.

To compare the fights does not make real sense because in the past they use 6 oz, 8 sometimes only 4 oz gloves.

Today the Heavyweights uses 10 oz and the gloves are much more padded.

This. Glove size often gets overlooked and it gives the impression that fighters of that era ere much faster and hit much harder. Lighter gloves mean faster punches, less punches get blocked because of smaller gloves, more damage happens on connects. Put 6oz gloves on Wlad and he will have his opponents leaving ring with shuttered jaws and orbital bones.
