Fury has only 3 wins over consensus top 10 heavyweights. Given the paucity of his resume I'm curious how you propose we establish how good he was to begin with?

I'm not even sold on him being better than cruiserweights like Breidis Opetaia Okolie etc.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Breidis brutally knocked Fury out were they to fight but of course Fury would probably duck the fight. What is there to suggest Fury is special by cruiserweight standards?

    Ha!

    WTF?

This is one of the most bizarre posts I’ve ever seen from you.

Yes, Tyson hasn’t got a great resume.

However, he’s beaten Wlad K, Whyte and Wilder.

He’s pushed Usyk really close in 2 great fights.

So we know how good, skilled and awkward he is to fight.

    We can see that.

    Okolie?

How many world level guys has he beaten??

    Breidis??

Breidis would have knocked him out??

    Based upon??

    Tyson would have ducked him??

    Based upon??

    He’s fought Wlad.

    He’s fought Wilder 3 times.

He’s just fought the guy who beat Breidis twice.

And why would he be ducking CW’s when he’s a SHW??

What planet are you on exactly??

Being a super heavyweight doesn't preclude him losing to cruiserweights obviously. And his failure to fight so many of his contemporaries raise doubts about his willingness to take on tough opponents.

I'm not impressed with Wilder or Whyte so really Wlad is his only semi impressive win but that was an older version who lost his next fight and retired.so hard to know what to make of it.
I'm not sold on Usyks heavyweight jump being a huge accomplishment or him being better than some of the guys at cruiserweight Usyk missed.

Fury was dropped by Cunningham who failed to drop many opponents at cruiserweight. He lost to Usyk more decisively than Breidis and cruiserweight Haye beat Chisora far more decisively than Fury did.

I think we have to seriously consider the possibility that Breidis is flat out better than Fury and not just better pound for pound

    Cojimar 1946,

    He fought Wlad in Germany.

He came back from alcohol and drug abuse to fight Wilder 3 times.

    He's just fought Usyk twice.

He's already proven to everybody that he's more than willing to take on tough challenges/opponents.

Wilder was never great, but he was always extremely dangerous.

It was certainly impressive how Tyson came back into the sport to beat him. And it was also incredibly impressive how he got up from that knockdown in their first fight.

Saying that beating Wlad in Germany, is his only SEMI impressive win, isn't really in any way fair is it?

    That's not being objective.

Who did Usyk miss at CW, who you really rate/rated?

That's just due to how they all matched up stylistically.

Yes, Haye did beat Chisora far more decisively.

But then Haye lost to Wlad where he showed mental weakness, whereas Fury beat Wlad in Germany, after he'd won the psychological battle.

    Okay.

    This is very interesting.

I've never heard anyone say this before.

So let's now get back to our previous debate regarding the quality of Floyd and Usyk's best wins.

Now if you rate Breidis so highly, then you must rate Usyk's win over him extremely highly.

You must believe that Usyk's win over Brieidis was excellent.

Therefore, it has to be comparable with, or even better than, the best wins of Floyd's career.

Wallin is trash. Cunningham beat no one at heavyweight. Wilder has no skills and beat 1 decent contender his entire career. Chisora had double digit losses before he turned 36 and has never won a world title. This resume is garbage how in the world are you defending this.

Yes that's right, I will say it 1 more time. Wlad is the only noteworthy win Fury has and Wlad was 40.

Look, I don't rate Wilder either.

But if Tyson beating him wasn't even a GOOD win, then it's pointless to continue.

If it doesn't even constitute as being GOOD, then I'm not going to waste my time with you.

As impressive as it is to come back from drug/alcohol abuse, I think it’s more impressive from the guys who are disciplined and respect the sport enough to refrain and not abuse such things.

    They all deserve huge respect.

Tyson has been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder.

So his moods are all over the place.

I don’t care about his disorders or moodiness.
    I care about his fighting.

I do however respect non moody fighters who treat the fans/critics etc with respect more.
