    Sure.

But he was in such a bad way, the reports were that he wouldn’t even speak to his own children at the time he went off the rails after beating Wlad. They reports were that he felt suicidal.

It’s okay to say that he shouldn’t have gone off the rails like that in the first place, but we don’t know what it’s like.

Not unless we’ve first hand knowledge or experience of it.

I personally know people who have committed suicide.

So that comeback deserves huge respect.

At one point, nobody thought that he was ever coming back. It didn’t even look possible. So to come back from that, and then back to the sport where he fought Wilder and Usyk, that deserves huge credit, whether you like him or not.

If I want drama about personal problems, I’ll watch coronation st.
I have an interest in boxing for the fights.

You can still give credit where it’s due.

Am I supposed to be giving him more credit for being moody, having personal problems and still becoming world champ?

Moody people with personal problems are everywhere…world champ is why I give him credit.

Tip for you - I guarantee you every other world champ also has personal issues. The fact not all talk about it doesn’t mean they don’t have personal issues.

This will be my last post on the subject.

    ALL fighters deserve respect.

ALL fighters go through an awful lot.

Bi Polar disorder is a severe mental health issue.

    An illness.

It's not just someone in a mood.

The average moody person doesn't disengage with their close family and friends, and contemplate ending their life.

Everybody has mood swings, based on numerous factors.

But what Tyson has are various severe mental health issues.

I have personally known of three suicides within the last few years.

Horrific for everyone involved in any way.

Again, yes, we should absolutely give credit to all fighters. Especially the ones who are always 100% dedicated, who have prolonged careers.

But Tyson also deserves huge credit, because whatever we all think about him, he's clearly a devoted father and family man. Yet things got so bad at one point, he wouldn't engage with his own children, where he felt suicidal. He then binged on alcohol and drugs, where people weren't even thinking about a boxing return, as they were more concerned about whether or not he was still going to be here within the next few months.

So to come back from that, both on a personal level, and as a fighter again, that deserves huge credit.

Yet your response to that, was that if you wanted drama, you'd simply watch Coronation Street.

    That's what you said.

Nothing more needs to be said.

    So we'll leave it there.

I’m old enough to have seen all these things too, you’re not the only one. But it’s not what I switch boxing on for though.
it’s not what I rate a boxing career on.

why don’t you go and sit with any other boxer and ask to get his shrinks notes, he may be going through the same or worse …does it make him a better fighter ?

Just because most fighters don’t talk about their mental health, it doesn’t mean they are any better or worse than fury was and aren’t going through similar stuff.

Ironically, wlad had similar stuff going on his home when fury fought him.

fury beat the man with personal problems and then screwed him over with the rematch

do we put an asterisk on that win due to wales personal issues?
If so, fury’s cv falls to pieces.

    I’ve never said otherwise.

So it was just a pointless post.

Like I said, we’ll leave it there.

I rate boxers on their boxing ability. Not pity points.
