beating tito, pascal, cloud and tarver doesn't make you a great fighter. calzaghe moving up in weight and easily outpointing hopkins was what the greats do. regardless of the order, jones and calzaghe are greater than hopkins.

    lol hopkins resume>jones resume>calzaghe resume.

resume for me is defined as wins, controversial losses or "special losses" (losses vs great fighters in close or epic fights) against Hall of Fame fighters in and around their prime.

When you look at each guys resume using that definition, its pretty clear who ranks where.

Young Roy Jones beat young Hopkins who was rated higher than Roy...Hopkins would then go on a legendary MW run and not lose again for a decade... Their second fight means nothing, Roy had just been knocked out by Danny Green.

Roy moved up in weight and beat arguably the P4P #1 James Toney by a complete schooling..

Roy would also move up to LHW, where he would KO a now Hall of Famer with a single punch to the body.. Roy would also clean out the majority of the top 10 ranked fighters at LHW, he would also unify the major belts. The fact that him and DM never fought is a black eye to both, but it hurts DM more.

Roy moved up to HW and won his 4th world title in dominating fashion against John Ruiz.

Roy would then drop down and beat the man at 175 Antonio Tarver... Very few have been successful at going back down to LHW and snatch the title in their very next fight.

The loss to Tarver hurts him a little, but he was on the decline.. I don't think any other losses after that hurt his legacy one bit as he was no where near the great fighter he once was.

The drugs I don't knock him down too much for, one being we don't have enough proof.. Two being even if we did have enough proof, it was likely he was also fighting against many roiders... The drugs did not make Roy Jones.

He is well ahead of Hopkins and Calzaghe IMO.

Slappy Calzaghe isnt worthy of carrying Hopkins jock strap To even mention his name in the same sentence as Hopkins or Jones jr is diabolical.

I use to think that until they fought than Hopkins goes and embarrasses himself on national TV with his whining act.

don't make this into a new topic by asking who the man was in smw or wateva you want question you want to make up.

This is clearly not about who is "the man in smw", its about atg status.

please don't introduce a new topic like this, and then pretend you've pwned everyone on ESB since no one has noticed your post enough to reply to it.

and please don't change the topic of the thread again, last time of asking.

Hopkins embarassed himself???????? :patsch What the hell did Calzaghe do? I doubt he threw 20 legitimate scoring punches the whole fight long. He got put on his ass. The low blow you refer to as a whining act was DELIBERATE & very painful. As for the childish attempted ***ual assault Calzaghe performed he should have been DQ'd
It was proven who was whining & cowardly when Bernard offered to rematch Slappy in Wales. What a way to bow out than to put the contraversy to bed for good in front of his faithful welsh fans ?? BUT cowardly Joe shot his fans the finger & took to the hills.
Since then Joe has been allegedly caught sniffing coke , getting drunk, dumping his longtime G/f & chasing ho's plus killing innocent little rabbits.
Bernard presses on still kicking the asses of guys young enough to be his sons. Slappy aint fit to carry Nard's jockstrap:good

No one did enough to win the Calzaghe/Hopkins fight. The fight should have been ruled a draw and removed from boxing history. Calzaghe set the record to me for most ineffective aggression and Hopkins was very "Kevin Johnson" like in his attack. A disgrace of a fight.

Can you not read what was wrote previously? Nothing about the man at SMW, but, that Jones was not the man in all of the divisions he had won world titles in unlike the other two.
You seem at a loss Herol :smoke

Clear Calzaghe win. It wasnt a great fight as Calzaghe shut Hopkins down after he made a good start and had Hopkins holding and looking for time out.

That's your opinion. But too bad for you, your opinion is not fact. It wasn't a clear win. It was a disgraceful fight from both fighters. I wouldn't watch it again if you paid me and it should be removed from both fighters records.
