Three of the most underrated defensive boxers who deserve to be inducted to the IBHOF. How would you rank these 3 based on resume and ability?
For me all 3 are ranked very close with each other.

Miguel Lora - wins over Vazquez, Zaragoza, Avelar, Davila
Sumbu Kalambay - wins over McCallum, Barkley, Graham, Collins
Marlon Starling - wins over Honeyghan, Brown, Breland, Mayweather Sr.

Ability wise I think Starling was the most well rounded H2H. He was just too hot and cold.

Kalambay is best on the eye test, and probably has the best wins of all of them. Lora was superb for a short time, but Avelar and Davila were both a bit long in the tooth by the time he got them.

Kalambayi has the best resume. Starting is the best boxer though.

probably Kalambay. Beat them all McCallum,Barkley,Dewitt.. the loss to Nunn was a bit shocking.. That was a bit of a fluke, and I don't really believe in flukes in boxing.

Kalambay, by a hair over Starling. You could definitely argue Moochie>Sumbu though. Two of my absolute favourite fighters of all time.

The hipsters love Lora and he was very skilled, but he’s a tier below these two IMO

Starling. More big victories, didn't get starched like Kalambay. That's a major black mark in my view.

That was an after-the-bell shot, as I recall.

Yes, but academic in this case , as they both threw after the bell.

I like/enjoy Lora and his style the most, but would rate him below the other 2

    Starling
    Kalambay
    Lora

Difficult to say. Kalambay has the biggest win of the three... neither Lora nor Starling ever beat anyone the level of McCallum.

But Kalambay also got iced in 1 in his biggest fight.

    I guess I'd tentatively say:

    Starling
    Kalambay
    Lora

Kalambay was the most talented of the three though.
