    Wholeheartedly agree.

And watching some of Usyk's videos thru the years----the guy works hard on his legs. You and me have watched the sport long enough to witness the love of guys from the shoulders up. Strictly. I guess they figure below the shoulders every fighter is about the same as the opponent. That is also why I like Usyk to win that rematch with Dubois===legs. Everything with Usyk is based on legs and having himself in the optimal position to then move his hands and arms. And he holds those hands up a lot better of the two & that becomes a bigger factor as things go on. Can you imagine if it was a role reversal and it was Daniel as the old guy in there taking on a youthful Usyk?

Being British I always vote for Lennox in all things, but on this occasion I will have to edge towards Larry, but like others have said not much in it, if not equal for me.

    Hi Greg.
As I said to Noel, my ranking of these two is the reverse of both yours, also said with not a lot of conviction, must say this thread has thrown up some of the most interesting, and thought provoking comments I have had the pleasure to read during my time here, a HW theme that doesn't involve the merits and ranking of Marciano, is a like a breath of fresh air, most of the posts have been about resume and their respective performances in various fights, would be interested as to who you would have as the winner, and a scenario as how siad fighter would achieve the win, just for context, despite just having Lewis ahead on a all time list, I would favour Larry to outpoint him in a 15 rounder, both fighters would be at their best.
thanks for your time buddy, chat soon.
    Mike.

    Morning Mike,

    I hope you're well.

Its very close, I can easily see Lewis ahead. I have no problem with how anyone orders these two, so long as they're considered close.

I'm the opposite of you in the sense that whilst Holmes just pips it on my ATG HW list, I'd slightly favour Lewis H2H, best for best. Holmes was more consistent, so may be favoured in a real life scenario, but taking the best versions of both, I'd make Lennox a marginal favourite. I think Holmes would struggle with the combination of Lewis's height, reach, power and strength. It would be difficult to outbox the rangey Lewis from a safe, long distance range, whilst closing the distance and trying to force the more powerful Lewis to work at uncomfortable pace, would entail substantial jeopardy for Larry. That said, picking Holmes, who had better stamina, over 15 rounds, is certainly a reasonable pick.

    Keep safe, my friend.

    Hi Greg.
Thanks for prompt and detailed reply, yes I can see your points clearly, and a win for Lewis would not surprise, these two make for interesting conversations that's for sure, always value your input, it's a benchmark to learn from for any poster that is undecided, always has been.
