If you're the type who likes to rank fighters historically (and we all do it to some extent), which of these two do you rank higher and why? There are several paralells..........both preferred evenly-paced efforts, both were economical, neither really had a career-defining (or particularly exciting) fight.......they both had good resumes, but the names on both ledgers fly somewhat under the radar. We all know that there are only so many parallels one can draw from their all-too-real matchup, with Monzon being a younger, fresher, huge middleweight and Napoles being an older, smallish welterweight; there was only so much to expect with that one. Thoughts?
Both are in the stratospheres really,...with Monzon just ahead of Mantequilla. I know some won't agree with that, but that's just the way it is. I don't think I can hold more esteem than I do for both fighters. They're both favorites of mine, needless to say.
