I tell you what! I'm about ready to dive head first into the

Kovalev bandwagon, but first would love to see him vs a Jean Pascal,

    or Carl Froch type opponent.

Who do you see as more deserving of their hype, Kovalev or GGG ?
give me your Views and opinions please.

Of the two, Kovalev has fought the better opposition, but not a very large margin.

His defeat of Agnew tonight was decent, but not a testiment to how good Kovalev actually is.
I mean, until this fight, I had never heard of Agnew. So, although I'm impressed with the way Kovalev dispatched Agnew, I'm still not a believer in how good he is until we get to see him in a more competitive fight.
    I'd like to see Kovalov stop chasing Stevenson and start building up his record against quality opponents like Dawson, Pascal, or how about;

    Kovalev Vs Lucien Bute?

This topic just reminded me of something i was thinking about a few days ago..Maybe i have this wrong but it seems like HBO have shifted their focus onto Kovalev in favor over Golovkin now. I wonder if the behind closed doors negotiations between Golovkin's managers and HBO soured a little bit.

I was just looking over the LHW rankings and came to the conclusion that there really aren't many competitive fights at LHW for Ward or Kovalev.
All that are there is Hopkins, Shumenov, Ward, Kovalev, Stevenson, Dawson, Pascal and Cloud.
The division is really talent weak.

Kovalev is better imo, but both are the best in their divisions. I think Kovalev hits harder p4p and is harder to hit.

They're both legit. Hopefully HBO finally budgets enough to their fights (granted, they were primed to make a big investment for Kovalev-Stevenson and likely would now for Sergio-GGG) to attract the best opponents.

There's still an element that these ex-Soviet fighters need to prove themselves and their ratings power more before the network's ready to invest big money in to them. But hey, it's a far cry from getting robbed and/or blackballed for showing up the home fighter like how it used to be. It's also not just the ex-Soviet guys that face that hurdle.

    Kovalev has fought better competition.

I also think he's a better offensive fighter.

GGG's the better fighter IMO, stronger punch p4p, better defense, more balanced skill set

According to some sources GGG wrecked Kovalev during sparring

People have been saying that for a long time about light heavy, same with the middleweight division as well. The creation of the super middleweight division really thinned out the talent between the divisions above and below it.

I think Kovalev is more deserving of the hype at the moment, he's slightly more proven at the moment. But Golovkin is still to really step up and show us what he can do against the very best.

GGG has better all around skills, Kovalev has the bigger punch, but you cannot dislike either one, if anything, the fanboys (particularly of GGG) are the annoying bit
