Spot on - Jamie Cox was game and made it competitive while it lasted but I didn’t give him a round, he was missing a lot and hitting arms and gloves while getting smashed to the body at will, Groves was just starting to find his range too in that 4th round.

Let's be clear. Groves was NOT impressive last night. He struggled badly with an ...at best...British level operator, Cox. Gotta hand it to the very limited cox though, he did his best.

Where was groves legendary jab? Look how easily and often cox Got inside? Cox competed on level terms with groves bar the ko. That shouldn't happen. If groves is that good he should totally dominate the likes of cox.

Ok the ko was good, but you can never put too much stock into one punch kos ..the winner is rarely as good as they make him look. The danger signs are there, Groves is vulnerable. Eubank is like a shark smelling blood in the water. He is going in for the kill.

Cej was worried at ringside.....worried that GG was going to blow it. Eubank just oozed confidence in that ring last night..confidence that groves seems to lack ...chris has the air of a man who knows victory is his.

Unless groves improves greatly on last nights performance, or produces a one shot fluke to end it, he is in real trouble with Chris. Real trouble.

Before Groves vs Cox I saw Groves as favourite. Now I see it as a genuine 50/50 fight with Eubank. We didn't learn anything new about Groves, for me it was just a reminder that he does look vulnerable under pressure.
Still, Groves is a big step up for Eubank and now I see it as a 50/50 fight that really could go either way.

All the naysayers panicking and changing their minds now the fight is on the horizon.

How could you not see this from the start? Sometimes the eye test is the real test.

Nothing has changed for me. It will be a great fight GG v Jr, guaranteed action.

May the best man win, but I still fancy it to be GG.

Before Eubank won his IBO belt, most people were saying he was a joke with his antics. He beats Abraham and Yildirim who he was at least a 1.15 favourite to beat and now he's the best thing since sliced bread?

Yep. Beats the corpse of Abraham and then some Turkish taxi driver and next minute he's going to beat a seasoned natural 168lber world champion like Groves. Yeah ok.

Boxing is partly about opinions, great to debate. Lets make it clear I like groves, rooted for him v froch on both fights.

GG fans a bit dismissive of eubank. Jr is on the up while GG is on the way down. JR will dominate GG come 3rd Feb.

Just to reiterate what I said on the other thread, this is a step up for Eubank. It’s against an experienced, 29 year old, 168 world champion. This isn’t Quinlan, Abraham or Yildirim (credit for the performances tho). Eubank is not the best fighter that Groves has fought.

Eubank might go in there and blow him away but lets be real, he is an unknown at this level.

Groves let Cox shoot himself out last night. There was no ego, instead it was a measured, mature performance. This version of Groves imo is better than the one that fought in the first Froch fight. This version of Groves wouldn't have gassed himself out trying to go for the kill.

What is clear though is that there is no point letting Eubank unload and hoping he’ll gas, cos he won’t. His engine is fantastic so he’s going to have use his superior jab and time him for the counters. Can’t wait. I’m leaning towards Groves but Eubank is capable.

Seems a bit dismissive of Groves, especially considering he's the more proven fighter.

Eubank is faster and has a better work rate. Groves is more powerful and more experienced. It's a good match up.

For the record I do rate groves, just at this stage of their careers, with the skills sets they both have I just think Jr will dominate GG. I could be proven wrong of course.
