He will win it. Regardless of his flaws.

Pure comedy gold from someone who hasn`t got a clue........How can someone be on their way down after winning a proper version of the world title and defending it comfortably for the first time this after operating at world level for the last 5 years being only 29 years old????

How can someone be on their way way up after fighting no live opponents, not being a natural at the weight, not having anything in his arsenal that could upset a superior experienced fighter with a much better skill set and can hit harder. The guy who is supposed to be on the way up is 28 years old, holds a mickey mouse world title that isn`t recognised by any publication that has any credibility and is only on the map because of his surname???? You are talking like GG is 35 and Eubank JNR is 23.

Take it you're perhaps a groves fans or very dismissive of Jr. I like both of them. Some flaws in your post, each to their own.

Guess we'll have to see who is the real comedian after the fight then.....

For sure groves will be the best opponent CEJ has faced if you look at his record closely the only intelligent/boxer with footwork he has faced is BJS and he struggled. Personally I just see a similar fight except eubank will not go for broke like he did in the later end of the fight as groves power will keep CEJ honest. For me groves needs to up his punches per round to keep CEJ at bay and pace himself. I got a SD groves.

Oh don't want groves to go as he has the best ring entrance music !!

Some merit to both points here. Groves has had a lot of tough fights and has a tendency to get away from his boxing and get drawn into a war. However, he is much more experienced against top level opposition. Eubank hasn't had the hard fights, but then is that a blessing given that he will be fresh or a curse given that he hasn't fought anyone other than Saunders to prepare him for Groves. Abraham and Yildirim are good wins but Groves offers something stylistically that junior hasn't seen since Saunders. Could go either way this one.

Yep tell me another better ring entrance music and the way groves marches into the ring all focused finishes the entrance beautifully

Can not see him getting past the new and improved George groves under Shane mcguigan... Think he beats eubank with the body shots

If anything, this tournament showed me how basic and one dimensional Callum Smith actually is.

That being said, him and Brant will be a cracking fight.

I'm rooting for groves but sometimes he looks so bloody ragged and inconsistent. He should beat Eubank really but at this stage I'm not fully confident.

I like Groves but i fail to see how he is the same fighter as Froch 1. He is slower, more cautious and i don't think he looks like he has the same hunger

I think he's more cautious, because of his defeats, all his mistakes came from being silly so that's probably why.

I think it's clear he's worked on his inside game though and bodyshots, he still looks ragged at times under pressure but he's blocking a lot and throwing much more on the inside now, which was his weakest part of his skillset before.

Don't agree with anyone saying he's on the way down, stupid statement if you ask me, but he is a different fighter post-Froch.

I do think he is a little less explosive, but I think that's because like you said, he's more wary of leaving himself vulnerable... so in essence with experience he's become a smarter fighter. Even still, if he is less explosive he still carries some dig on him... he's one of the biggest punchers around at 168.

He can still look ragged at times, but that's always been the case - you can even go back to the Kenny Anderson fight.

But that said, with Anderson fight for example, when he was up against the ropes getting hit he would see the red mist and start trying to fire back wildly. If you look at the Cox fight, he was more composed catching shots on the gloves and then firing back with counters.

Groves v Eubank has the recipe for fireworks, stylistically a brilliant fight.

Eubank can certainly outwork people that don't have his dynamism. Groves will be tougher than an over the hill Abraham but Eubank seems to be developing with every fight.
