Who Really Won Leonard or Hagler?

Sugar Nose Leonard ran all night.

There is a point in the fight where Hagler, growing tired of Ray's constant retreat demanded..."Fight me like a man you *****..."...to which Leonard proudly replied "...no."

I might have to do that. I don't score flurries and activity either. Strictly punches that actually landed.

 

me and my dad are huge hagler fans

i scored it 7-5 srl. and i never liked him. hagler simply gave to many rounds away. if you asked me who did more damage i would say hagler. but fights are scores on points. you can be busted up badly but if you win more rounds you win the fight

the judge who had it a was for SRL should have been shot though

For years I thought Haglar was robbed, but I watched it again on Classic Boxing recently, and Haglar lost. Please note that I did not say SRL won. I said Haglar lost. Marvin made some really poor choices, based on ego, in the early rounds, and it cost him the fight.

 

Hagler won that fight IMO

 

I was a huge Hagler fan but to be honest SRL won it.

Being completely objective, I think that down the stretch Hagler outfought a guy that did enough to outpoint him early on. Ray did what he had to do to get the nod.

 

Hagler won. I was on a promoter's bus with Stalone's brother, he also thought Hagler won and he had been at ringside!

 

Hagler, close but clear.
