I never heard anything like that before that's pretty interesting. Thank you.

    Hagler.

Leonard was trying to steal too many rounds, not actually win them. It was close simply because Hagler started god awfully.

    two key rounds.
6 - after a strong fifth - the only round Hagler won the vote of all three judges - and in which he buckled Leonard - he should have carried the 6th. Inexplicably, Hagler did not pressure, and a late flurry by Leonard "stole" the round. When Hagler looks back, this is the round he probably regrets.

9 - Hagler let it all go - this was the Hagler everybody expected to see. But just when it seemed Leonard would crumble, his gloves came alive and Hagler had to take a step back. Leonard spun out of trouble. They exchanged again at center ring, and though the edge went to Hagler by a slim margin, Leonard had blunted his best attack.

Hagler's punching was a bit too methodical and telegraphed. He lacked Leonard's creativity. How else can you explain Hagler's draw with Antuofermo and his narrow decision over Duran? He should have easily won both fights, but fought too cautiously.

You're using this "different level" **** a lot lately, sure sign of someone that can't debate. You used it on me in the WALD thread too. Just a bit of advice, to be on a different level you actually have to prove it from time to time and come up with something useful to add to the debate, rather than just saying "I'm not arguing any more because I'm cleverer than you"

Especially when you consider you used that line on me in a thread where you'd hinted that Klitschko never makes excuses

Incidentally I've watched this fight dozens of times and have never scored it differently than 115-113 or 116-112 to Leonard. I liked both the fighters at the time but even if he did run the entire fight Leonards work was better.

Yes this was a poor version of Hagler but it was hardly the best version of Leonard either...

He really is a total joke of a poster isn't he? Guys like him irk me because they have zero knowledge and never have anything to back up what they say, but truly think they are a level above anyone else. Truly sad.

So basically the two judges who scored it for Leonard had the stink of potential bias and conspiracy around them.

    Not surprising.

    What's good Scar

But yes your right SRL did when, bu it was Hagler's own fault for taking those 4 rounds off. I had him up by 1 round. Also I think the huge ring and not having 15 rounds helped Ray, especially after a 5 year layoff. But it was a pretty damn good fight

He's a WALDO nut-hugger with a username designed to make people believe otherwise. Look at some of the crap he spouts in the Klitschko threads, you'll see then just what level he operates on :yep

I don't have a problem with people disagreeing with me, especially on those threads because I'm basically only on them to annoy the sack-swingers - but when one of them tries to claim intellectual superiority I take offence. Especially when it's a ****** like him

Just speculation, and sounds like horse**** to me to be honest. One of the judges sparred with Sugar Ray Robinson years earlier so obviously he was going to score the fight for the namesake :patsch

You could also look at it another way and say maybe the guy hated Leonard taking Robinsons nickname when he wasn't fit to lace his boots and would have been biased towards Hagler, surely? Whichever way this guy scored the fight he could have been accused of bias, as could anyone.

Oh and the other one who may or may not have had a business deal coming up with a guy who bet on Leonard...again just speculation.

Let's investigate the guy that gave the fight to Hagler is what I say...there's blind bias for you right there.

Go ahead and substantiate the "blind bias" the judge had who scored it for Hagler. Right now.
