As a boxing fan who scored the Marquez-Pacquiao trilogy for Marquez in all three fights, widest in their third bout, I must say that this decision is even worse, possibly the worst I've ever seen. Pacquiao lost 2 rounds if you were being nice, 3 if he was your favorite fighter, 4 if you were his mother, 5 if you were on crack, 6 if you were paid to lie, and 7 if you were on crack and also had a case of glaucoma. Bradley didn't do too badly for himself, he landed a few good counters and threw jabs consistently, but Manny's guard was too tight for many of Bradley's slightly late counters to land and his movement was to good for Tim to escape the left hand. In nearly every round, Bradley looked off balance and scared of Pacquiao's punches, which landed more impressively. Manny even ducked under punches and anticipated counters better than I predicted he would. That's how I saw the fight, and how every other individual (out of 6) I was with saw the fight as well. So, ESB, who do you think won the fight?
I gave Bradley rounds 2, 7(could have been the 6th) 9, 10, 11 and 12. Pac won some rounds big but he was getting outboxed the last 4 rounds easy. Draw.
I am extremely surprised you thought Bradley's punches were more effective in all of the last 4 rounds.
you know the answer to your question already. . . I gave Bradley 3 rounds: 2,10, and 12. . . Just like I gave Cotto 3 rounds against Floyd. Funny thing is, Bradley/Pac, and Cotto/FLoyd were pretty much EXACTLY as "close."
I scored it a draw, giving bradley rounds 2, 5, 9-12. I was in a room full of Pacquiao fans, it could've had an impact on how I scored it. I'll need to see it again tomorrow alone in a dimly lit room with a box of tissue paper.
If BRadley won this fight, then Cotto beat Floyd. . . Both fights were a CLEAR decision for Manny, and Floyd. . .
He did a lot more than Marquez in the last few rounds. Pac looked very impressive in the first half. But he looked tired and Bradley outworked him in the last 4 rounds. I recall Bradley winning the 9th n i still thought there was no way but he came back and definitely won the10th n 12th, the 11th was close. Ledermans card was horrible.
Pacquiao.. this was a terrible decision.. maybe arum wanted to set up a rematch so they can keep all the money in house and not have to fight floyd
I can't agree. Marquez dominated a long stretch of the fight, whereas Bradley barely had an argument for more than 3 rounds. Pacquiao's punches consistently had more effect on Bradley than the other way around. Manny's guard was very tight tonight, and Bradley's counters were too late. Manny's punches moved Tim, and Tim's, when they landed, barely did anything.
Having watched it on tv only once so far ... I felt like Pac lost the 4 last rounds to the greater quantity of Bradley punches. But that Pac had won nearly all the first 8 rounds with greater quality punches. That's what it felt like. Bradley got physically stronger in those last 4 rounds if anything and Pac faded. That looked pretty obvious. Anyway I didn't think Bradley won. **** result.
