Prescott one pretty much every round up until the 7th when he gassed, McCloskey may have won ONE of the early rounds, but I don't think so. 7 rounds to 5 Prescott, if you scored an early round to McCloskey then it could be a draw...either way it's a hometown decision
Who did you people score the 12th Rd for? I think maybe time-wise, McC won more of it,but then Prscott stung him again and thus I would have to go with Prescott, which I think the judges did not? Who did you have the 12th for?
I had McCloskey winning rounds 2-4 and the last 5 but the 1st round was a 10 - 8 so that makes it a draw it was very close fight and not a home town decision. Fridays night boxing was a disgrace of the highest order with cox... I cant agree with 1-7 thats harsh.
It was 100% McCloskey he landed more punch's i think prescott tagged him with ten seconds to go and everyone thinks he won that round. McCloskey done him on workrate alone in the 12th and outboxed him. I watched it again today and he definately won that round.
Prescott got scr3wed. Commentators even said he has no complaints and has left the ring..... in reality he just left in disgust.
I suppose saying it was a close fight that could have gone either way, isnt exciting or confrontational enough?
I had prescott by a 2 rounds. mccloskey is pretty awkward, so it's hard for him to score clearly. so, the scoring was close, and give that every time mccloskey threw a punch (hit or miss), the crowd went beserk; it's understandable that the judges could make a mistake.
Now 26-5-5 for Prescott. A great blowout. Clearly ESB has spoken. And re the 12th rd, I was ready to give it to McC, but then he got tagged real bad and looked ready to go again. My understanding is that getting your opponent in big trouble counts for alot. And that is even why you can get a 10-8 rd without having a KD. So yes I gave Rd 12 to Prescott, based on what I saw and my understanding of the rules in judging rds.
