Who Really Won--Prescott or McCloskey?

    i was at the fight, and cudnt believe they give it to mcCloskey.. he didnt deserve the win and it shocking to think that in a professional sport at this level they can well and truly rob an athlete!

    You could score rounds 5 and 12 for either fighter. These were the swing rounds. 1,2,3,6,7 were the clear rounds for Prescott, while rounds 4,8,9,10,11 were the clear rounds for McCloskey. If you give both swing rounds to McCloskey, then you have 114-113 for him.

    Bottom line, it was a close fight that could have gone to either fighter depending on which fighter you give the two swing rounds. Definitely not a robbery.

    And I did not use the word robbery in my post. But the poll shows overwhelmingly people saw it as a Prescott win.

    Nice to see a fellow Belfast man being fair about it.
    I think most boxing fans are honest and want to see honestly reffed and judged fights. Even though they root for the hometown lad, they still want to see him win fairly only.
