coming forward aggression poppy ****. thats a limited point of view and only gives guys that fight in this style credit. I dont judge fights like that a whuppin is a whuppin backwards forwards, sideways. for this reason I scored the fight for Lara against canelo. with your scoring coming forward as the only guideline canelo was the winner.
thats your scoring method go with it.

How exactly would he have won? All it needs is to have clearly won one more round, thus making the 114-114 card into 115-113.

Don't make it into something it wasn't - the fight was very close abd reviewing it I have Golovkin by a whisker (having thought last night that Canelo snatched it).

The 118-110 card is bizarre - but the result is fair enough.

Now we can see it again.

Some people on this board need to recognize an outstanding match and two outstanding fighters when they see them - not every fight needs to be a Kardashian- style f#####g b***ch fest.

Any man who thinks that either Golovkin or Canelo is not an awesome fighter is an idiot.

very slight edge to 3G for being the aggressor for most of the fight. not always the successful aggressor, but he rarely stopped advancing.

A draw is fair given the narrow margin between aggression and defence they put on.

I thought it was at LEAST 8-4 GGG. In fact, for those that say Canelo one the first 3 rounds, how can anyone really say that?? Neither guy did ANYTHING those first 3 rounds. They were purely feeling out rounds, that if you could would score them even rounds. But I'll give Canelo 2 of those rounds to be generous. GGG wins 4-9 absolutely no question. He was the effective aggressor. Sure he missed a lot of shots, but he also connected on a lot, and so it was effective aggression. Last 3 rounds? I have to give GGG either the 10th or 11th, don't recall would have to watch again, but I thought he won one of those rounds for sure. So that gives Canelo 4 rounds. I really don't see how you score it any other way. I was impressed though the way Canelo was able to sidestep most of GGG's right hands, I've never seen a fighter consistently due that, and he did it well. I think he definitely improved defensively.

Rematch? A rematch was going to happen regardless, unless one guy completely obliterated the other. The way this works now, is they could possibly have 4 fights. First one they tied, then if they split the next 2, they could have a 4th rubber match fight. Not really interested anymore, I didn't think it was that exciting of a fight.

Anything different to a 116-112 for GGG deserves criticizing Canelo got his ass whupped

Calzaghe pressured most of the Hopkins fight after the 4th. But I'm sure Rafael does have his favorites everyone does whether they admit it or not.

Your last point is not really provable so I won't speculate. Who did you have winning? I had it 8-4 GGG. But want to rewatch it next Saturday.

You know I wanted to give female judges a chance but Eugenia Williams. CJ Ross & Adelaide Byrd have changed my mind. For once Dave Moretti put up the most reasonable card I was amazed

Yea I had it 116-112. And the last 3 rounds, GGG threw all caution to the wind really trying to KO canelo, when he could have easily sat back on his lead and boxed his ears off. But GGG let Canelo hit him and just kept coming hitting him more and hitting him harder. Canelo was brave as you can be constantly backpeddling but GGG showed Canelo who his daddy is. And Canelo looked like a moron saying he won 8 rounds. The last 10 seconds really put exclamation mark on the fight for GGG. Canelo stopped punching, trying to run the clock out while GGG chasing him throwing punches until the bitter end, while canelo was praying for the final bell. That's the last fight i buy on PPV though, i'm done with the corrupt BS.
